I think a big problem with the coercer class is that we dont have a lot of synergy between our abilities.

For instance, our main dps comes from reactive damage yet we have a bunch of ways to stop the mob from doin anything that causes our reactives to kick off... /boggle

Another one is that one of our main damaging AA abilities at the bottom of the INT line requires us to be under 30% power to do more damage, I doubt the Dev's intend for us to sprint before every fight because thats just lame...

So what I propose is that the ability at the bottom of the INT line gets changed to read: When the coercer is above 70% power they do 50% more damage and have the ability take 3 concentration slots so that we cant have it on while we have a pet out...

Since eq2 is very focused around tank / heal / dps ... I would like to at least fill one of those rolls and dps sounds closest to possible

Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this idea,

Pfeffer~

What you're asking for there would actually end up being a nerf to us. 3 concentration slots, and a more difficult regime than we already have, for a 25% damage boost. I would imagine it's actually harder to keep above a certain power % than below one.

3 concentration slots is also a lot to lose. Like you say, that means soloing you cant have a pet anymore, which arguably does equal to greater dps than your own. In groups thats 3 haste buffs melee dps wold miss out on..

PEOPLE get it through your heads they don't care about the class... Sorry but people have been asking for a fix for 5+ years. Hell even on other class forums you hear "Well it can't be as bad as coercers...they are really broken"...

Many times I have seen fantastic suggestions...theres a few posts which go into 6+ pages of great suggestions.....they never changed NOTHING, NADA, they did not even bother to SAY ANYTHING they DONT CARE!

Betray to an illus and experience eurphoria!!!!!!!!

I'd sooner turn account off rather than betray my coercer, so no.

Wish I could betray. Unfortunately my guild won't Exile, and since guild comes before class, Im stuck coercing things

Just let our charmed mobs stay the same strength. Could leave the coercer class alone for all time with just that one fix. Not going to happen, I know, but we can always wish.

A decent idea for a new spell that may help out our reactive dps is mebbe a spell that increases attack speed of target mob by 50% and decreases damage of target mob by 50% therefore causing our reactives to fire much more quickly and not really effecting the mobs damage. I dunno kinda jumped into my head and i posted without really thinking it over...and inc flames or whatnot...

inc of haste and reduce of dps alone doen't do it.Many rok mob doubble attack hard so you would [Removed for Content] the tank lol.caster recast maybe lol so the mobs can eat the raid too ! Coercer should be able to get the mob to do a tiny spell or ca aoe that needs a lot of the mobs power when the coercer want's to muhaha.Like a little possession where we whipser to the mob hey cast suicide or something like that (500mental spell followed by 500dmg melee aoe)We should be able to get the mobs to do stuff !
