So I'm level 73 now and I'm trying to figure out how to spend my extra 20 points in the sorcerer tree. I primarily group, rarely solo and have begun to raid.My current aa point distribution is:AGI WIS 4 4 4 86 48 81 1I'm currently working on filling in the INT line up to the second to last ability which decreases threat gain. So I should be able to get that to look like:INT4447But, in the last raid I participated in I basically had no problem with agro and was getting resisted a fair amount so I was considering going down the STA line instead of the INT line for the second to last skill which improves subjugation, ordination, focus and disruption.Just wondering what people with more experience in a raid setting think about that choice. Thanks for your time.

I believe most raiding wizards use:WIS 4-7-4-8-1AGI 4-4-6-8-1STR 4-4-4-8for optimal DPS

Yeah I know that the generally made choice seems to be the STR line but:a) I am not raiding end game yetb) I am not at the level capc) I am having problems landing spellsd) crits don't do anything on a spell that doesn't lande) resisted spells = power and time wasted = lower efficiency and hence lower over all dpsf) crits = higher (and uncontrollable) chance of drawing agroI guess I wasn't clear enough what my question was.Given the above conditions, does the increase in disruption from the STA line improve hit enough to make it worth while?

ask your troub to run Dove Song if its that big of a deal. However you should note, that although your points make sense, you arent taking into account all the debuffs on raid mobs. Every wizard I know that raids has pretty much teh same setup Vexus posted. It is the best. And the all have 95% or better hit rates on all mobs. Now perhaps with the changes on the horizon to our spells landing, disruption may take a more prominate role in our minds, but before you set yourself up with a spec that essentially lowers your dps just to counter that...look to other players skills that can buff you just as good (like Dove Song). And make sure everyone's laying on the debuffs. thats the most important part. Not only to you, but to your tanks survival, heh.

I agree with Sac.If you get resist a lot, either lower your target con (yellow con is not the best XP in RoK). The best XP per kills/time is blue con in RoK (or it was 2 months ago for me).The gears with +disruption are essentially nice gear slot for raiding has grouping, has soloing. +subjugation gears are nice for solo root. It's pretty easier to farm those items from solo quest in RoK, to merchant faction and farming old T7 legendary stuff for that.Warlock and Dove Song are your best friend. Conjurer help on debuffing the mob has well. All casters of fire and ice spells should finish the Bone Clasp Girdle HQ (the name of the quest is latin something like Von Mortimus Liberatus... anyway) for the procs debuff/damage that come from it.Screwing the STR line is not a way to go to mitigate the resist problem for raiding. And in raiding KoS or EoF you will get better with STR than STA considering that Warlock, Trouby and Conjy help here + all the gears selection you can take to mitigate it. Actually, for green raids (at 80) on EoF, I wear the crimson robe that lower all the casting skills for a 10% speed casting and it worth it.Marie-Ange
