New Pally Askin Noob Questions

<p>ive just started a Pally in Qeynos, then i moved to TD becuz the better quest rewards.</p><p>i got to lv21, put my AAs to STR line , 4-4-5 now. but it seems i do rly lower DPS than other class, also heal lower than priest.</p><p>im new to EQ2, had a lv17 swashbuckler/lv 21 armorcrafter before. so i can get few mastercrafted gears for my Pally. and gears from TD quests r not bad so i dont think the problem is about gears.</p><p>may someone give me a description about Paladin , solo , position in a grp , etc..</p><p>or explain how a paladin's combat like..</p><p>thanks for any reply.</p>

<p>the paladin class isnt considered DPS.  But you can increase its potential by going down the Wrath line on the EoF pally tree.  Then try to go soen the INT line for more of a Spell damage boost.  Healing go down the healling line in Eof tree. </p><p>The pally is a great soloer and great group tank.  My personal favorite class.</p>

I recommend INT, then STA to start out, both to max crits.Anyhow, as a "tank" class, paladin damage will be much lower (damage you do and damage you take). While we heal enough for it to be something you shouldn't ignore, you'll get a good idea of the class's strengths and general design if you think of yourself as a warrior with some divine flavor, for roleplay purposes.  If you are coming from a game like, say Warcraft, where paladins can choose to specialize in full-fledged healing, and be an equal part of the healers community.
