OK, did a search on poison and got 124 posts but didn't see any on duration.

So, here is my brigand. He has taken the AA to extend durations and poison once applied are suppose to be 13 hours and some minutes. But I have never seen a poison last that long. I usually have to apply 3 or 4 times in an 8 hour period. Some last a few hours others last a lot less.

Could someone please enlighten me as to the faulty duration?

Poisons have a number of charges as well as a timer. Each time poison procs it uses a charge, once you are out of charges poison needs to be reapplied. It also has a timer but I never pay attention to this since I always run out of charges well before the timer would ever run out. The timer seems to be completly useless.

Mouse over the poison icon on your maintained spells bar to see the number of charges remaining.

There's a mod on eq2interface for maintained spell/effects, it allows you see the durations and the counts for any buff/applied icon.

http://www.eq2interface.com/downloa...ellswindow.html

You can see that with the default UI.

Yes, but not without hovering your mouse over the effect icon.

If your Brigands poison AA is anything like the Ranger conservation AA, then you should get increased amount of charges for poisons. An AA that only increases the duration really wouldn't make sense.

I think some players are misunderstanding the brigand AA ability. Its called tenure it increases all attack based combat arts and poisons duration by 12%. Meaning if you have a debuf poison on and it lands on a mob it will last on the mob 12% longer the same with a combat art. if said combat art or poison has a lasting effect on a mob that duration is extened by 12%.

I have gotten my poision timer down to about an hour befor, but that was because I was getting ready for an intence TS seasion, so I was harvesting like mad(about 6hours over a couple days) and then TSing for awhile, so thier is a reason for a long timer.

I can tell you this, when I mouse over my poison it says 13 hours and 11 minutes (or something like that) Where before the AA it just said 12 hours.

He's saying that you aren't talking about the brigand poison AA. You're talking about the duration AA (Tenure) that happens to affect some poisons. The brigand poison AA increases the amount of damage and amount healed with vitality breach poisons and has nothing to do with duration. And it looks like the other scouts in the conversation thought you were talking about your poison AA.
