Semi Noob question regarding Salesman Crates.

Hello, I have a question regarding the use of Salesman crates in Everquest 2. I managed to buy one last night, using most of my coin, hoping that it will be a good investment for me to make some reasonable coin for my character. After buying the crate from the broker in my tradeskill zone, I went to place it in one of my "Sell" slots. I was then told that I can't, and the message told me to upgrade my house. So off I popped to my house to see about upgrading the house, but I couldn't see anything regarding upgrading my house on the house menu (the one you get when you click on your house door). I then went to try and place the Salesman crate in one of my broker slots again, and was informed that I need to open my store to use this item. So my question is… How do I open my store so that I can use my nice new crate? Thank you very much for any help.

The standard house supports 2 boxes for the broker.Do you already have boxes in the broker already? If so you have to replace one with the salesman crate.Once you have placed the salesman crate in the broker go to your room click on the broker board, select the crate and place it in your room.

not realy sure about this.. but i guess you have a one roomer, that means you can only use 2 of the showed slots, so if you ave some bag on the first two allready you have to remove one of them and replace it with the salesman create.aswell it might be that your house is private, it have to be public for a salesman creat can be in there, so make it public and try again maybethese are what i could think of was wrong, you could try it wile waiting for some realy experienced trader popsin and answers your question better =)

When you place the salesman crate in your room it will automatically change the rooms permissions to let people enter and buy but nothing else.

Ah yes. This is indeed the case. I have a a normal box and my Veterans Reward display case. I shall remove my normal box and replace it with my new Salesman Crate. Thank you all very much for your quick responses.

Also things to note: if you want more selling slots you need to move house, its isnt just a simple right-click upgrade option <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> - though it is now fairly simple anyways. Houses with more rooms have more broker selling slots basically, for Qeynos and Freeport the bigger houses are found in the city areas (ie. not the little suburbs), they also cost more than your basic one room inn.
