Ok so what does "ca" stand for? i am brand new to eq2. I started off with a dirge but liked the bruiser more so here i am. When you guys state time your auto attacks with ca's can someone explain what this means and also give me a typical rotation? Im guessing it means combat arts but I just want to make sure. edit: i know i need to change my sig

CA = Combat Art

Basically it's the melee equivalent of a spell.

Awesome, is there any specific standard rotation for a bruiser?

Use your debuffs first, then its up to you. debuffs would include Eye rip and whatever debuffs you picked up in your AA's. then just rotate through your crap as you so please.

Pulling a mob with a STR or WIS totem is a good plan too.

Also, for max damage.....use your Crash Line AFTER you first use a knockdown. I also finish up with a Heroic Opportunity with my 2 smallest CA's after the other CA's were used. Why not, it gives a little extra sump sump for nothing really...and the taunt I use to finish off the Heroic Opp is the green one cause that stifles the mob for an added bennie for you.

I find it's also really handy to use your lightning fists (or whatever you have at your level) with your AOE attacks---piles of damage are had. This is very useful when you're soloing and suddenly pick up a lot of friends.

Most people seem to go with the shortest reuse timers first but personally I always go with the DoT and debuffs first. Even in a short fight you'll benefit from that DoT ticking away. Also, I don't like to waste 100 Hands and Chin Break unless the mob (or player) has just been knocked down, has their back to me or is otherwise debuffed. Don't overlook the usefulness of Lightning Fists (or its equivalent) and remember that sometimes an extra stun is more beneficial than an extra bit of damage.

If you have a gnome or a dwarf in your group, throw them at the mob for a good increase of DPS as well.
