So thinking that since Vista has been out for a little while, and CompUSA going out of business i was able to get Vista Ultimate for $100... i'd take the plunge and get it.

Installed Vista (32-bit) and ALL current / up-to-date drivers and then put on ONLY EQ2 (plus subsequest patches, add-ons, expansions, etc).

and i get this:

followed not even 10mins later by this:

With Vista having been out this long, i should think that the wizards and gurus at SOE would have worked out the kinks by now. Considering what's happening here though, i'd have to guess otherwise. But why? The first pic shows the EverQuest2 team blaming Windows for being the issue, stating i need to install a service pack. To the best of my knowledge, i installed every single thing available through the update service. If i didnt, can someone please post a link to where i can find this elusive service pack which will solve the problem?

I know that everyone feels all the more happy, fuzzy and warm inside when this is posted so by popular request, here is my DxDiag report:

Get off the custom ui. The next time you load up there should be a little question mark there that opens a website that lets you download a windows patch.

I'm guessing you need to look at this thread.
