Considering what he does, I don't really consider it to be a love story, since he gets backstabbed in the end anyway.

Just because it is a tragedy does not make it a love story. I would like to remind you of a couple tragic love stories told on Earth, Romeo and Juliet and the movie Love Story. Both are widely held to be love stories, and both have elements of tragedy in love. Will we ever see a ghostly Di'Zok wandering the Kunark countryside, sobbing brokenly and calling out to his lost love, begging for forgiveness? The ghost of Orthiss could be a quest NPC. . .

There have been many love stories that have revolved around a lover having to choose between the person he/she loves and saving others. It is not a typical love story of boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl. There are plenty of Disney movies with that theme. But this story reflects what would expect to hear from an EQ2 story. I think this is a great story.

Yup, he is there all right, ran into him the other day in the jungle near the reets. No idea if he is triggered by anything or not, when I got near the area an on-screen message appeared indicating a ghostly wail throughout the jungle. He only said these four things and there is apparently no quest with him.
