Hi all,

can anyone please tell me where I might be able to purchase SOE gamecards to enable me to play Everquest 2. I've seen them mentioned all over te place but nowhere says which shops you can buy them in. As I dont have access to a credit or debit card this would be my only available method of payment.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated, thanks )

They should be available at any retailer where you could potentially buy EQ2.

I recently got one today by luck. They are the rarest thing item in stores literally; me and my cousins be racing to stores against each other to get them but neither of us have access to credit([Removed for Content] moms). But i love to fact that i have 3 gamestops around my house and a bestbuy. Most likely new Bestbuy's carry them and gamestop in white communities get 3 a month.

Bearing in mind that I from the UK, sorry should have mentioned that before. Because gamestop and bestbuy's are not places I have heard of. I have to admit its annoying when SOE say about them on the game case, but then you can't buy them anywhere. I've seen that you can buy them online at station.com, but that kind of defeats the object because you still need a card to be able to buy it. So far I have tried Games and HMV in the uk, looked online at pc world, but still no luck. Anymore advice is most welcome, especially from anyone at SOE who are advertising them on the back of game cases and then it would seem not following it up by making them available. Surely thats misleading advertising, in fact I am sure it is.

You don't actually need an SOE gamecard. You can use prepaid VISA giftcards as well. These are available at most department stores. I believe there was even an article on EQ2players about this about a year ago on how to use them. <strike>I'll try to find it and post a link here, if someone doesn't beat me to it. </strike>Found it:Using a Reloadable Visa or MasterCard for Sony Games

Enzya, I'd also try looking for EB Games. I'm not sure what stores are all available in the UK, but there's also Circuit City (which is a competitor of Best Buy) and then there's big retail "box" stores such as Target, WalMart and Kmart.I just tried googling the game cards, but of course I mostly got scam/plat seller sites. The above about using a reloadable gift card sounds like a good option, also. You might want to check on your account for other payment methods as well. Don't some non-US folks use a sort of direct pay method?

Sartredes,

you are a lifesaver, I never even knew these type of cards existed, they will be absolutely perfect for me and best of all I can use it for the internet which is a real bonus. Thank you so much for drawing my attention to these, I will most certainly be looking out for them and getting one.

I'm sure these will be handy for other people too, because it would seem that with Virgin, you only need to be 13 years old to get one, parents consent given of course, but flipping heck, wicked.

thanks you thank you and a million times more thank you

I'm a well happy girl now, you actually made my day WOOHOOOO!!! )))
