Assassin Epic Quest Bug Since Sunday - Please fix

<p>Quest: A Mysterious Trinket</p><p>Step: Attempt to open the chest and reveal its contents.</p><p>Bug:</p><p>If you reset the zone before you complete this step.. YOU CAN NOT get the chest to repop in a new instance. </p><p>Steps leading up to the bug..</p><p>You get update when Zoning into Chelsith.</p><p>When you kill the last named in the zone. The thrones become clickable. You need to have 5 party members pray at the 5 thrones at the same time. This spawns a chest and updates your quest.</p><p>When you open the chest a named pops. If the zone gets reset you can not pray at the thrones in a new isntance. Even after you clear the zone of all the named. So you can not get a chest to contenue the Epic quest line.</p><p>Our 2 guild assassins have been stuck on this stage since Sunday.</p><p>I have /bugged and /petitions. The response is that GMs can not help with EPIC quests.</p><p> If the entire assassin epic line was not in one quest. I could delete this stage and redo it or if a GM could reset it back 2 steps then I could redo this step.</p><p> Could a Dev Please reply to this.</p><p>Thanks</p>

I'm experienceing the same thing.  I have /petitioned and /bug it to no avail.  GM's say it's not broken and that I should be able to simply walk up to where the chest spawns and it will spawn again, which is NOT the case.  It will not spawn at all.  Please fix this and stop telling me it's not a bug.

Per the advice of GM Chandrok that was responding to my petition,  I went back into Chelsith for the third time this morning and ran straight to where the chest *should* spawn.  It did not.  Will you guys fix this already please?  Here's the GM's response to me:"Greetings again Heck, GM Chandrok responding.After checking on the issue again I see that praying at the pillars is no longer necessary. Simply go to where the chest should be and it should appear. Unfortunately that is all the advice I have for your issue as this exact scenario was tested and found to work. I would encourage you to /bug this if you feel it is still not working correctly and to post on the forums. If you have any other issues we may be able to address in the future, please contact us at your convenience. <p>I have completed the Chelsith stage of the quest, "<i>Upon killing the Keeper, the chest becomes clickable, and updates rewarding you with a strange amulet and updating quest to 'Discover a use for the Amulet' with a hint about droag and dragons</i>."</p><p>So I moved onto this stage, "<i>This requires going to skyfire and clicking three pedastals, supposedly has to be in the correct order. Also, apparently need Draconian language."</i> went to the first pedastal and was unable to click it, checked all three and same result.</p><p>As a result I am no longer able to progress this quest.</p><p>I have draconic lang and have the amulet in my inventory, I even checked the entire zone for the Guardian of the Blade that spawns near VP and nothing.</p><p>Any hints tips or advice anyone may have would be greatly appreciated.</p>

I'm sure most of us have already gotten the same response, but for anyone who is just encountering this issue, here's my response from a GM:"I have read your petition and I understand you are unable to make the The Protector of the Blade spawn, most likely because you had already caused him to spawn before and had already received a quest update. My apologies for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, due to the enigmatic nature of the quest I will not be able to simply move you a step back in attempt to resolve the issue. I will, however, be sure to submit a high priority bug report to have the encounter checked for errors. If an error is found, it will be forwarded to Development for a correction. One more tip I can give you which might resolve the issue is to attempt to re-do the instance with an assassin who had never caused the encounter to spawn before. This should hopefully force the NPC to spawn, allowing you to progress your quest. Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience, and if you have any further questions or concerns feel free to reply to this petition or submit a new one."So, guess we'll inevitably have to wait for a patch, heh. Wonder how long it will take tho.... hmmmmm =/.

I'm not gonna blast Sony on this tho b/c we all know the epic quests weren't openly beta tested so that no one would have a jump on them, and while the quests are pretty buggy, not everyone got stuck at the same spots and everyone had as fair of a shot at disco credit as possible. I just hope they fix the issue soon and put LoN on hold for a minute or two ;P.

<p>Unfortunately, I think we're screwed.  Aren't the most severe bugs considered the ones that are "play-stopping" and "repeatable?"  Well, this is play stopping and repeatable.  "We're going to fix this right away!" But yesterday we have in the patch notes something about fixing a shaman quest.  Neat-o!  I got excited and started to think, "well maybe they're going to slip a fix in for us assassins all stealth like, keep it in character and all."  I believe that's what is usually called delusion.  So, I wonder, have you managed to figure out how to spawn a single mob for us, or bring our quests back a few steps or, god forbid, just spawn the chest for us?  Did you forget that people are battling with this silly bug STILL because after you said you'd fix it we left you alone?</p><p>I don't want to be whiney.  I love this game.  This removes me from the game.  Rather than enjoying the best mmo I've played to date, I'm sitting in front of my PC fussing at a bunch of faceless, nameless developers.</p><p> At least let us know what's going on.</p>

Wonder how long it will take tho.... hmmmmm =/.</blockquote><p>Gotta love it, the official response is to get ghetto-updates.</p><p>Unfortunately, this is the way that Sony has dictated that the epic quests will be handled.  They have stated that GM's will not be allowed to do anything with the epic quests.  GM chandrok's response is the scripted response they are directed to give you.  Not the phrase " Due to the enigmatic nature..."  It does look like they've dressed up the response a bit with info about submitting a high level bug report, and a bit of info on how to try to workaround the issue.</p><p>Honestly, all we can do with these epic bugs is to /bug them, and then post here so the user community knows of the issue.  Development will address the quests in their own time, and nothing we do will change their schedule (bar finding a bug that benefits us, that is.  That'll get a hotfix quick-like).</p><p>Sucks, but them's the berries.</p>

UPDATEchelsith is fixed just did it - zone need to be cleared then chest pops HF =)
