PvP with defiler

I started new toon Defiler and so far I love it.From my last toon wiizard he posses uber defence ofcourse damage is rather .......eerrr pethetic ;P  but U can`t have all.I usually play in small parties or solo so I choosen INT line scourge FTW and now I`m working down into STR line ....I would love 2 C some advices from U experinced PvP.So far I just red that prewarding before fight with group ward and that`s about all peaces of advice I found in forum <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <p>/ps I`m specely intrested how 2 counter that anoying interupts    </p>

<p>    Well i'll be straight with you man...there really IS no way to counter interrupts assuming your below lvl 30?   Forget exactly when freedom of mind potions become available.   But even when they are available they are a VERY poor defense against stifle/stuns. 10 secs with a 15 min recast.   So basically 2 wards 'if' u dont get knocked back.     </p><p>   Also...not to burst your bubble but if you decide to lvl to t8, prepare to have that defense shattered.    There is no contest in that tier as far as the dps dmg output & our capability to prevent it (wards get cut through like soft butter).       Shamans in pvp recieve little attention & defilers even less than mystics.        Your safest bet is to get the absolute best gear available in each teir.     It'll get progressively more difficult as you lvl & compete with a more skilled player base.  </p><p>    ~ Marius Darkchyld ~  80 Defiler            ~ Darkhand ~</p>

<p>Thks for tips...rather distrubing but hey if I wanna be one man army I would play I scout ;P</p><p>Got some further question in that mater if U don`t mind</p><p>1)I heard we got single target fear line at T4 maybe t5 don`t remember exacly..I`m rather anoyed by those pisky scout whou runs from me when they OP, no way I could stop at lvl 30..So my question is: We get any crowd control at all? and how`s fear efectivness in PvP?</p><p>2)Defilers and horse are they match?..I still using SoW (very often grouped with warden so I get 45% one)..I heard that warden SoW doesn`t stack with horse run speed bonus Defilers one alsaw?.I`m Sermak (dragon style <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />) and I got that 50% run speed in 30s,does that stack with horse?(it does with SoW however,in 30s with 100% run speed just marvelous) ? If not should I consider buying a horse at all?</p>

We do ge an AoE fear at lvl 13, and this will be upgradet all the way up to T8, sadly, it is only a 5 sec duration, and recast is a pain, but it has the advantage of being a deaggro in the same spell, so in PvP your target's would lose you if they had you as target. If you call this crowd control, then yes we get it, I personally don't think it is, and in PvP this is one of the things we surely lack (Togerther with a +900more dps)</p><p>2. Defilers need a horse to travel yes, only thing you need to remember is that the Mount does not stack with anything, not even your Class run speed buff <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/2e207fad049d4d292f60607f80f05768.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />, just look forward to get to lvl 65 (I think it is) there you get a new totem with 45 % run, this will stack with your Jboots, Sarnak race spell and everything you can get your hands on (Not SoW includet here). I dropped my mountt the moment I got to 65 and been using those totems ever since. It will also allow us to stay in our "cloud" form which I think looks awesome, so thats just nice <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p>

<p>Prmordial Terror lvl 39</p><p>Well I was more intrested in that spell ...looks kinda good...however I cant` find casting and recast timers..And how it works in practice in PvP...standing there and with no way 2 hold enemy pll at bay start 2 be reall pain in the [I cannot control my vocabulary]</p><p>  </p>

<p>I only have a defiler in the upper 20's so I dont have much advice other than fear and ward and heal if need be!</p><p>The defiler is a good backup healer at best! You will not be able to handle the spike damage  if your in a group!</p><p>Solo I do very well and can usually keep up my single target ward with no problem! </p><p>Live with the interrupts or roll a druid! It sucks watching your group die all the time!</p><p>I only solo with my Defiler unless I know im a backup healer for a PVP group!</p><p>Love those DOTS for those running scouts! </p>

<p>is not a bunch of roses thats for sure very hard to be a good solo pvp defiler and some classes you wont even have a chance.</p><p>I do best against Rangers for some reason</p>

Defilers Pvp is awesome till you hit t5. After this its all down hill. I would not recommend solo. However a defiler plays a crucial role in a group at high tiers when a druid is in the group. The group buffs enhance the group members quite well and the wards lay over the druids Heal over time quite nicely. The fears and debbufs work well also. The truth is a defiler is definatley not a solo or duo class at high tiers. They really should get some attention from SOE.This class is made for other people to enjoy the game.I have a 70 abandoned on vox and a 42 on nagafen.

<p>Here is my defiler so far </p><p><a rel="nofollow" href="http://eq2players.station.sony.com/characters/character_profile.vm?characterId=1181986120" target="_blank">http://eq2players.station.sony.com/...erId=1181986120</a></p><p>41 destro so far I just play 10 days and 14h ...heh strange but I kinda like him so far.I `m almost capped at AA(59AA)..got all spells master and play with nice teams and we very rare got any problems in PvP fights</p><p>As for solo fights well myabe it`s me but at even turns (duells in arena ) or situations when I`m prapared for fight I practicly never lose.Won with one orange ranger when tank horde of green skeletotns <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p> /ps Latly I trayied PvP solo with other tweeks in my guild.I lost just with warden (only becouse I told him 2 kill my pet (STR AA shaman line)..I have won 1-st duell do,however it last like 30 min when we both run of power) and with brigand (iterupts and stuns hurt me 2 much,very close fight do)...rest of so called uber profesions are easy for me..sorcerers,predators etc </p><p>So if U wanna roll healer for PvP defiler is definitly a good choice,specelly masters on Nagafen server are sooo cheap ...or roll ANOTHER warden ;P </p>
