Thinking of starting a coercer

Despite seeing all the posts about how the class has been nerfed to hades and back i still want to play one. I will be duoing a lot of the time with a warlock. So even though charm has been nerfed would duoing with a lock make up for that? I don't really mind being a CCing buffbot. Also i am wondering about the AAs, I was thinking of going down the improved casting speed line or is there something else i should go for?

Welcome to an awesome class.You'll do very well duoing with a warlock.Since you'll have a warlock around to do a majority of the DPS, I suggest taking the AGI line first, then the WIS line for fewer resists and stronger control over your pets/roots/stuns/stifles etc. You can finish off with INT line or start the STA line if you plan on raiding.GL!

<p>I still love my coercer - though I am very sad because the soloing nerf to our pets. But if you are in duo with a warlock, you will not need to do much dps. I would say warlock/coercer duo sounds like great fun. Both of you root well, and the coercer root has the fastest castingtime in game I believe. And when things go wrong you save the day. </p><p>You will have to learn when to mezz though. Mezz will bring mobs outside the warlocks damage and reducing his effectiveness. Try stifle/stun as much as possible to get max effect from your buddy.</p>
