Any tips for finding groups at the lower level. even my guild seems to have no interest in in stuff below level 50 (and its not a raiding guild). The best part of the MMO is usually the second "M" grouping with some folks on a regular basis....

PuGs are one thing, but it would be nice to find a group of people to hang with on a regular basis--any suggestions or tricks.

If I'm not in a guild group, I'm either in a PUG or going solo. The way I usually work it is, grabbing my ingame husband who happens to be a tank with troub/lock/temp alts. We then proceed to check our friends list for anyone who might want to go hang out. Failing that we start building in channel. I started a wonderful group the other night this way. Poor hubby changed toons about three times before we finally decided who he should be though lol.

I think your friends list is a very important tool. When you get into a PUG, observe the play styles and personalities of each player and decide if that person would be a good fit for your expectations. If so, ask if they mind you putting them on your friends list. I consider it rude to just put them on your list w/o asking first but that is me.

Also just go to the place where you want to adventure and look for people already there.

When you see people running around there that are near your level, ask if they would like to form a group.

I usually head out to do solo quests that I am working on. If someone else appears to be working on the same quests (they are pulling the same mobs as me or talking to the same npcs), I might invite them to group up to do the quest. After the quest is done, we will often proceed to work together at other things. This usually results in small groups, though (2-3 people) unless we get others to join later (perhaps friends of one or the other of us).If you are looking for dungeon grouping, the best thing to do would be to head for the entrance of the dungeon you want to adventure in. Everyone wanting to go to a dungeon has to go past the entrance at which point you can offer to start/join a group. On the issue of permanent groups versus pickup ones, the best approach is to either join a guild or talk to people in pickup groups to see if they would like to adventure again with you. There really isn't an easy way, especially since at this point most of the people that want permanent groups already have one.
