Heheh.. Pail you jokester!

I leveled my wizzy to 70 on a pvp server, mind you I raced there and never really 'pvp'd'. Of course, when push came to shove I did, but I didn't go looking for pvp. At level 70 I did some pvp on my wizzy.. non-manashield spec, and got rolled. Our guild needed a Lock for raids, and since this toon was my 'alt', I exiled and came back as a warlock. Suffice it to say, that my OP'd swashi is now my long forgotten alt and my Lock is my new main. Group pvp is awesome, and soloing is somewhat vialable with mana-shield.

I am sure, if my wizzy were manashield specced I might sing a different toon, but for me .. group on group pvp is where it is at, and you can't beat a warlock for group pvp.

Quick story, when the level cap was 70 .. we had a group of 4 warlocks and 2 druids .. and we took down a x2 of exiles at the ant spire. Was a fight that when I think about it, I still smile. 4 Consecutive rifts were awesome. Maybe someone should have told them about AoE blockers. Hahaha.

Anyways, I love my lock as I am sure Pail does also.

Trixee

Solo depends a lot more on your gear and your skill. I don't tend to solo as much as I should and haven't really reached the full potential of a solo PvP Warlock, but even so I find it generally bearable.

The biggest thing to remember is that you don't have the single-target nukes that a Wizzy has, and you don't have his evac either. You do have good durability for a clothie and a lot of interesting options, but a ton of your damage is DoT and a lot is optimized for linked/group encounters.

Focused Casting and Manashield are I think essentials, but not panaceas. Brawlers and Scouts tend to burn through my Manashield pretty fast, for instance. Keeping potions--a good variety and of high quality--is also really useful. Creatively using Null Caress and roots can help, but ultimately you have to figure out ways to either front load enough damage to knock them out fast (hard for us compared to a Wiz) or keep yourself alive long enough (wards, shielding, Null Mail) for your DoTs to burn the bastage down.

Just my experience; I'm sure there are much better Warlocks who could help more.

think warlock is much fun in pvp. only classes that are really hard to beat are good played wardens, monks and mystics. only can remeber one loss against a scout in 1 vs 1 since t8 even if i was engaged in a pve fight before. and since t8 i dont know anyone who burns through my manashield. always had mana left after the full duration of it, and the only classes that lived long enough to see manashield runnin out were zerkers, monks and one swashbuckler.

well, unlike a wizzy you cant take down one guy real quick, but you can own a whole group. but the thing is who solos anymore? i mean really 3out of 4 times you facing a group. so try a warlock and see how it treats ya. but wizzards will beat them hands down. at 28 i completely own any warlocks that are higher than me

I, on the other hand, haven't ever lost to a wizard. All depends on who the players are tbh.
