Erollisi Day coins

I've taken a couple of my characters out to kill mobs for the candies and love notes with which to get coins to buy goodies, but I haven't gotten a single drop yet.  Seems like last year I got a lot of them, but maybe I'm just going after the wrong mobs?  I won't have much time to play during this holiday, so please help me.  Where should I go hunting?

You're killing sentient mobs right? Gnolls, Humans, Orcs, Ogres, Trolls, Elves, Bixies, Clockwork, Aviaks, Etc?

Yeah, I am, just no luck yet.  You know, last year it seemed like I got a lot of that stuff, but that was probably because there was really nothing to do with it.  Too bad I didn't save all that stuff from last year.  Well, I have a little more time to play tonight.  I hope it doesn't take TOO many candies and notes to get a coin!Thanks, Cus!

Candies and notes are one for each coin.Also the crafted items each require one note or candy.

Do I need to be killing sentient beings in any particular zone to get these drops? Thanks in advance!

Just a quick addition to this, do you have to be 'of level' to the mobs you are killing in order to get the items? or grey mobs work too? (sorry if this is a given - but its the first E'Day I've been a player of EQ2 so I can be a noob <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> )

Aye, grey mobs work fine, I got several candies, all off greys, last night.

<p>I've had the most luck with drops in Thundering Steppes doing skeletons and centaurs.  The centaurs seemed to drop their candy quite often for me!</p>

thanks oakleaf ive never been around for Erollisi day before so i had no idea where to find these npcs thanks and ya the sinking npcs are a big problem i see them every where

<p>For evil toons </p><p>Even though I am lvl 80 I went into commonlands and in the bloodskull instance and laid waste to all that moved got 14 orc love notes in about an hours time.</p><p>There is another instance there from an access quest you get the quest for from a rodent on the CL docks is also good since orcs and humans are there and drop quite a few.</p><p>I prefer the instances since they won't interfer with others that maybe normal questing in the commonlands proper. </p>
