Why do you have to lose an eye and have an eye patch to have whiskers??  Why cant i just have whiskers only and no eye patch??  Is there some perq for having a missing eye to grow them??GIVE US WHISKERS WITHOUT EYE PATCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Investigator and Critic are the two male choices that give you whiskers while letting you keep both eyes.  Investigator wears shades, while Critic wears a dark-lensed monocle.

I swear there's ratonga NPCs with 1) tinted glasses (I recall seeing one with a sweet red monocle) and 2) one has a goatee (maybe in Temple Street, or elsewhere in Freeport).I wouldn't mind seeing some more hair/accessory options for everyone!

The only chance to have a male ratonga have whiskers is looking him disabled/ill with the ugly eye patch.</p><p>Hey, come on. What they need to figure out is how to have the whiskers show when you have a hood/helm on.Example:My Ranger used to have the whiskers/glasses combo. But when he finally got his cowl, they went poof. So, I was sad, but since I really liked the cowl, I just imaged them slicked back or something.Note: If ya look around, you can find the trick on how to get the Ratonga with a goatee thing. That has whiskers too, black ones at that.

I'd love whiskers on my Ratonga. The only way I know to get non-brass whiskers is to use the goatee trick, which gets ya black whiskers, but ya get the goatee too. *shrug*Also, if ya look closely on the males, half the whiskers are not even attached unless you screw with the muzzle enough to stretch it out.P.S. I'd also like to have whiskers stay out as you have a helm on! Or at least, the partial helms and hood (Ranger cowl, Paladin winged-helm, Inquisitor hat, ect). Wouldn't make since to see them on the barbutes and other full-head enclosures.If nothing else,LET US HAVE SOMETHING OTHER THAN BRASS WHISKERS AND BLACKED OUT GLASSES! My Ratonga are not blind. =)

Well, admittedly, I went with the dark glasses to get the whiskers.They are the product of the gnomish opthamatologist, Rayenna O'Ban (she married a Halasian, you see), who uses her patented technique to produce the highest quality dark lenses this side of Erudin.  The proximity of these fabulous spectacles is one of the few things that can redirect sunlight away from a ratonga's eyes and onto his face, thus triggering spontaneous whisker growth.  Currently, Rayenna is trying to find other ways to produce this beard-growing effect in other ways besides selling a pair of her quality lenses.Of course, spellcasters like mine see both their beards and their shades vanish into the nether realms when they put their hoods up.  Mrs. O'Ban has not, as far as is known, been able to explain this.

USLive was odd, they dissapeared after creation. I payed a gold for a makeover and re-import the saved customized thingy, and that did the trick.Can't say about non-USStandard servers.

Not only do male ratongans need whiskers, but I want my ears back!!! When I put on a helm, my ears get squished up under it, and I can't hear a thing. So I can hear the baddies coming, I have resorted to wearing the arrow mask I got during the Nights of the Dead. On we Ratongans, the arrow sticks out right between your eyes. As a ranger, I wear it proudly to let others know...make sure you hold your bow faces the mob. lol

<p>Its not 'hard' to make custom colors once ya figure out how to do it. It does require looking at lots of numbers though!</p><p>If ya like, I can try to teach you, or, you can e-mail me a saved customization of your character, and what color ya want (blue, for example), and I can change it for you and send it back.</p>

<p>I do think SOE's Everquest 2 team consists mostly of mutated, highly intelligent hamsters that try to achieve world domination. Inspired by Pinky and Brain (though they were mice, not rats), they constantly try to improve the process of the "How?" and "When?" without attracting too much public attention.</p><p>The current approach is to make people slowly feel comfortable around cartoon hamsters, and increase the level of hamsterness step by step. It begins with board avatars and certain wallpapers - a complete board layout will follow and suddenly ... as soon as people don't wonder about all that anymore ... there will be a new expansion, "The Hamster Odyssey", which includes some quests consisting of watching those funny, whirly hypnotize-things for several minutes without a break. Everyone will think hamsters are the greatest and best thing that have ever happened to mankind and will willingly bow before the hamster godking.</p><p>The connection to the ratonga? Well, since Pinky and Brain were mice and the developers want to cover all tracks of their plan, they have to slowly get rid of everything in their game that could help people remember about this cartoon and the devilishly plans of achieving world domination within.</p><p>So, they don't give ratonga whiskers and let them complain about that for about one year now - everybody who stops by will think "Man, there are much more important things in this game to fix" and will, as a result of mental self-protection, try to forget about the little rodent-guys. To accelarate that process, they recently "broke" the ratonga's tail - people will make fun of their always-stiff tail and will forget to objectively deal with this rat race.</p><p>And then! When all confidence is lost, SOE will release the further story of the ratonga - it will turn out that the great mage N'Gurai of Anetiff is a descendant of an ancient race of hamsters and so the mighty race of rats will be degraded to mere servants of his "greatness".</p><p>And the whole mankind will follow ...</p><p>It will follow ...</p><p>Follow ...</p><p>*drinks a coffee and fades back into the da...*</p><p>Oh, the Podcast:I listened into it about one day after Matia mentioned it - basically it had a very nice and funny rant from a ratonga player who shortly mentioned the whole whisker thing.
