<p>When epics came out in eq1 it was not only a series of solo quests that you started when you were in your lower levels, but continued on as either group or raids (we did not have x4 groups we had more like x6 to x8 groups for some of the raids). I remember it taking the 1st few to gain their epics on my server (Tunare) months of hard work and raids to accomplish their goals.</p><p>Less than a week later people already have their epics... What a let down tbh. If this easymode continues you may as well change the game to Easyquest 2.</p>

<p>I guarantee that most players don't feel this is easy mode. Just because some people put in ungodly amounts of time every day since the epics went live in order to get them as quick as possible does not mean that these are "easy."</p><p>But I would expect them to be easier then eq1. There's about 5 other threads floating the forums explaining why people would never go for something like that.</p>
I'm not sure how you could have expected anything different from EQ1 vs EQ2. It's like comparing apples to oranges. I agree with you, but they really are 2 completely different games anymore. The only thing same is the name and bits and pieces of lore they throw in from time to time. It's just the way of gaming in general. Apparently the masses are too interested in the 'gimme it now' then the truly epic journeys. And that's why WoW has such a following. No hallmark quests in EQ1 were finished in a week.
