Bugs in Assassin Epic quest:

So far as the end of the assassin epic goes, there are two known bugs so far.First, the step to kill Drusella (After speaking to the Translator, she sends you to discover who cast the spell on the tomes) updates after killing ANY mob.Secondly, the final two steps. If someone spawns the Guardian of the Blade, the amulet step prior no longer updates as long as the mob is up. Since you cannot kill it without doing the previous step, if you spawn it and leave it up, noone can finish the epic.

Also, unsure whether intended or not, but on several mobs assassins HAVE to get the killshot in order for it to update, while they require groups to kill.Lirosi in Stonestair byway, Morticus in Teren's grasp, Rid Jestands in Lfay, at the least.

Another bug i have encounter that i havent seen any post about is that currently Exiled assassins can't continue the quest past killing the guy in the bakery because they are unable to equip the Freeport Emmisary Mark or Robe because they are tagged as evil only..........

i was the first assassin on innovation to finish the epic group quest - what happened - we triggered the endmob but in the same time a contested epic mob spawned - so we decided to kill the endmob  later.Later we came back to jarsath waste and this buggy Guard of Knife welcomed us in front of the entrance to kylong planes with a buggy grin in his stupid face - so i lost my server discover because of a bug thx soei dont know how this mob came to his place => screenshot.i wrote a petition to reset the mob and asked a gm to help me but he refused any help. i know gms are not allowed to give any hints to complete a epic quest but why why they are not allowed to help someone with a buggy quest? you know this could drive people away from your game? gms should help or what is their job ?! i lost server discover and can't complete my epic quest for 4 days now and this is very very annoying - server innovation!<img src="http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/6884/epicbugyn4.jpg" alt="" border="0" />

<p>Another bug in Chelsith..</p><p>Quest Name: A Mysterious Trinket</p><p>Step: Attempt to open the chest and reveal its contents</p><p>You get an update zoning into chelsith.</p><p>After you kill the last mob in chelsith you activate the thrones. You have to have 5 people click them at the same time. This pops a chest. You examine the chest and a named pops. You are suppose to kill him to advance.</p><p>Problem: If you fail to kill him or reset the zone (this happened to me)</p><p>you can not repop the chest.. so you are stuck and can not go farther. Because the previous two quest updates Killing the name and praying at the thrones were done in another instance.</p><p>So when you zone in.. clear the zone.. the thrones are not clickable to pray at. so you can not pop the chest.. so you are done till this is fixed.</p><p>``````````REALLY REALLY frustrating.</p>

<p>I am also an assassin stuck on the last part of the quest in JW.  I spend the entire day yesterday getting a group together to kill the end guy... Had some people waiting with me untill i finnally had a full group and was rdy to go.  Then i lead everyone to the steps and the Mob doesnt spawn.... Talk about frustration.... Not to mention all the other people that waited around to help me out for a mob that wouldnt spawn because of a bug.  I had no idea that it was bugged untill it happen to myself.... I would be nice for these known bugs to be put out on the message you get when you log into EQ2..... Not everyone reads the message boards daily.  If you have a known bug that prevents people from finishing the quest that had they known about it before hand could have still finished.... YOU SHOULD LET THEM KNOW </p><p> This BUG has wasted my time and the time of 5 other people.... It is also preventing me from moving forward in the next quest line.  Not only should the bug be fixed... but SOE should find a way to right the wrong they have done... IE A free Day of play for every day we are prevented from finishing the quest... I Came back to EQ just fo do the epic quests.... <p>BTW this is an easy fix....</p><p> Make it so the mob is always up but non agro untill someone on that part of the quest either hails or gets close to it.  You have done that with other mobs in the assassin epic quest... Ie there have been mobs that are always up but either change or become agro once we get close or hail.</p><p> This change should have been done the day after you found out about the bug.   </p><p>We are now 2 days after we have comformation that SOE know about this bug and still nothing has been done. And there is no way it will be fixed till atleast Thurs which makes it 3 days.  </p>

The bug on the final named was fixed yesterday. First time I tried it was over the weekend, someone had failed an it was unkillable. Waited until the hotfix went in, grabbed a group, and headed there. We tried it five times, (killed it on the fifth when we finally woke up and fought the mob away from the group), and each and every time we wiped, the npc would stay up for about half a min, then despawn. But also, every single time we restarted it, all I had to do was run up to where it spawns (and you do have to get within a couple feet of where it spawns to pop it) and it was working perfectly. GG SOE on the fix <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />As long as your quest journal is on the step where you have to "discover what you have unleashed in Jarsath Wastes", the npc will spawn for you.

I came across a bug with getting the update for Rhylinil K'Helviurden.  I killed him three times but there was not update for the quest.  I tried different combinations of with just the ring, without the ring and of course getting the kill shot.  I was in the in the assassin worldwide yesterday and noticed another assassin having the same issue getting that update.  Thank you.

Opal in the For a better Tomorrow quest is not spawning on Najena.  An assassin in my guild killed her last night around 8EST, and she has not been seen since then.  I think there is an issue with her spawning.  I hope we don't have to wait for server resets for her to spawn.  That would not be good.

I am stuck on the discover what you have unleashed part and have not once been able to spawn this guy.  I leave my assassin camped at the spawn point of the guy and log in a few times a day run around the steps to VP and hope he will spawn and he never does.  I have also tried going back and interacting with the 3 scroll thingys in JW and they will not let me do anything to them.</p><p> This is a week now since this bug has been found and yet here we are and still people are stuck at this point and unable to move forward.... meanwhile everyone is getting their mythical verions and even assassins who somehow made it past this buggy part are getting theiry mythical... </p><p> Anyone that has beens stuck on this part because of a bug which you continue to ignore should be automatically give the mythcal version because i would have had it by now.... you are just wasting my time and making me want to stop playing this game.  Fix the bug or give my my mythcal weapon i dont care which way you go but get your act together and do something.  </p>

Hes not up at the gates to VP and none of the scrolls are clickable, i have draconic and the amulet and my joournal says find a use for the amulet.</p><p>Being stuck at the finishline to this [Removed for Content] quest is beyond frustrating.</p><p>And yet SOEs shining display of customer service or lack there of is not making this any better</p>

<p>Theres another bug now:</p><p> On the first step of the EPIC quest (For a Better Tomorrow) you are supposed to go kill Opal Darkbriar in Darklight Wood.  I watched another assassin in our guild as they got the update a few days ago, the mob runs through the zone on a specific path, over and over.</p><p> Well, the mob is no longer there, and will not pop even though I am on that step.  I checked the worldwide channel, and it appears this bug is widespread (all servers).</p><p>Please fix, as my guild has progressed to the next epic's I would have required, but because this part of the quest is bugged, I could not proceed.</p><p> Thanks.</p>

All known bugs with the assassin epic quest have been squashed and the fixes have already been pushed to the live servers to the best of my knowledge.

you said all known bugs have been squashed but i just now got out of chelsith and i still cant get the chest to spawn at any of the altars and the altars are still not clicky. I originally spawned the named two weeks ago and failed to kill him and have not been able to get him to respawn since in 8 tries its incredibly frustrating so what bugs did you fix and how exactly did you fix them. Knowing how to get it to work again after its been broken since launch might just help us more than you saying its fixed.

<p>The bug is real simple, if you don't kill the mob the first time you pop the chest, the quest bugs because the chest won't pop again and you can't click on the thrones the next time you try the instance cause on the journal it shows to 'open the chest'.</p><p>If the devs try to spawn the chest by cliking on thrones then yeah, it would appear to them that the quest is working.They have to try to spawn them on a different instance after they spawn the chest the first time. </p><p>I'm not even an assassin but trying to help a guildmate and seeing his frustation is hard. Specially when he has already helped my main and my alt get their epics.</p>

You will need to clear the dungeon and kill the final boss to get the chest to spawn if you didn't get your update previously.

yes i did.just go in - do it like normal kill the tentacles - kill the last tentacle boss - go up the big altar where it should pop and it doesi went up the altar at the start when we went in - nothing - then did the zoe and i thought "ok i dont think so but i go there again..." and it popped.also last mob near VP - we wiped - he depoped - i went there again and he popped again when i stood right on his spawn point (end of stairs - middle).guess its not in the update notes cauz of a so called "lag of information" <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />HF & GL

Oops, yeah.  It missed the update notes last week because the initial fix was broken, and we didn't put notes in for the fixed fix.  You are correct that the change is live.

<p>Me and another guildmate did find lirosi in stonestair byway last night.  Guildmate got update, but i didn't.  Even now, the next day, i cant get lirosi to turn hostile.  He just says "shouldn't i be out slaying a dragon or something?"  Me and guildmate have done all the steps of A Mysterious Trinket" together and have had no problems.  I'm stuck on getting lirosi to attack or turn hostile.  Any suggestions or help.  Thanks guys</p>
