I am very sorry I ask these questions but I am lost. I looked at my account and is says I have station access for :

Advanced Character profiles

Advanced guild tools

Advanced Leader boards

Dynamic item bases

Screenshot and image storage

I do not think I have any sort of Station launcher.

I see the advertisement for the Station launcher Beta - do I need to get that?

Is there a FAQ around that helps to explain some of info I will need ?

Station Access and EQ2Players.com Advanced Features are separate entities and (if I'm not mistaken) are billed separately.

Station Access provides you with a discounted and upgraded gaming experience, allowing you to pay one price for access to several SOE games. It also increases the number of character slots you have in EQ2 from 7 (for basic subscriptions) to 12.

EQ2Players.com Advanced Features are the ones you listed there; $0.99 each or all for $2.99. They (are supposed to) upgrade your EQ2Players.com experience, granting you access to information, statistics, and tools you wouldn't normally have access to.

The Station Launcher is still in beta and is still fairly buggy (at least in my experience). You're safe with sticking to the EQ2 Launchpad for now, but in the future, the plan is that all SOE games will require you to use the Launcher. If you can get it to work for you, you should notice faster patch and launch times compared to the Launchpad.

I'm not sure about an all-encompassing FAQ, but there is an EQ2 Tips & Tricks forum that you will probably find useful.
