I have a pc with 2gig ram, dual gtx 7800 vid cards. Regardless of setting, i am noticing roughly 30fps, some zones are higher, some lower.

What are other people noticing on their fps?

Also to sony, why are pings so horribly high? I know yall are in san diego, but other online games played, anything over 100 is considered horrible. I am noticing 160-210 on average. No, my pipes are good. Testing to several other areas of the internet i am fine.

High Ping and bad connections usually has to do with router/port issues. Make sure you have the proper port forwarding settings applied to your router.

I am saying this from just here say from everyone in my guild doing it, I have not yet so dont blame me. The word is that enabling antialiasing helps FPS tremendously in EQ2. Now I know what I said when I heard that cant be reopeated in the forums but the logic actually made sense and the results were there. The idea was that EQ2 doesnt offload as much as it needs to to the GPS and sends almost everything to the CPU, but enabling AA forces the game to let the video card do the work, so you actually get better FPS and better visuals. 3 of my guildies did it with their 8800 series cards and all went from 10-25 fps to 60-100 fps instantly.

I personally have a 7800gtx single card and average an embarressing 10-30 fps. Ill make the AA cvhange tonight to see if it helps too.

I just wanted to follow up on my earlier post that I in fact did go and force the eq2 application to use AA in the nvidia control panel. And just like my guildies experieced I went from 10-30(max) fps with an average around 15 to 30-50 fps with only dropping to 30 during last nights raid, normally right at 40 fps, and my game looks even sharper!

the new F11 window also has a bar graph and it will graph any one of the selected parameters

ie FPS / bbs / ping just click on the number to graph that parameter.
