Every time I zone into Kunark zones, they are either partially or completely black. Kylong is completely black and TDeep is partially black (the city of Gorowyn is almost entirely black, except at the docks entrance I can see the wireframe of the city for a little bit). I've tried updating my graphics drives, I've done a full file scan (which downloads nothing)...nothing works. I've searched on here and can't find any suggestions beyond the drivers and full file scan.

You may want to delete the cache folder, eq2_recent.ini, eq2_default.ini, EverQuest2.exe To do this please follow these directions:1. Next look for any files explained above and delete them. 4. Afterwards, please start EverQuest II to have these files re-downloaded by the patcher. You might also want to try BACKING UP (move them from the EQ2 directory to your desktop, for instance. These are your UI window settings among other things. all files named after the character with which you're having this issue. The character specific files will appear as such: Servername_CharacterName_EQ2_uisettings.ini Stationname_characters.ini

Just tried that...not working. My brother had the same problem but all he had to do was a full file scan to fix it. I don't get it, this sucks.

Try digging around in your EQ2 folder for the new zone files, they should have most of the zone name in them. Delete these files and do a full scan, the patcher should get new versions, and hopefully that will fix what ever issue is going on here.Just to be clear, you don't have any other issues with the game, right?

Definitely sounds like a zone issue, hopefully those files will help, let me know.

Full file scan didn't download anything, so, no surprisingly, there was an error message when I tried to log on and EQ2 crashed. Now I'm thinking my patcher is messed up.

What files did you end up deleting?Go to www.everquest2.com/install and download that patcher and run it, when it asks you to remove or repair, choose the repair option, and try the patcher again.

I was having the same problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled using original EQ2 discs and then downloaded everything else. Seems to be working now. I tried all the other suggestions posted in here and had no results from them. Good luck.
