Last night, an unusual event spontaneously occurred on several servers. Forget, for a moment, those hardy adventurers scurrying hither and yon to find hints regarding their epic weapons. Level 80 crafters were on a quest of their own, one which caused them to form ... crafting raids! Through much hard work and significant cooperation, crafters banded together to work through a questline that hearkened back to the days of EQ and the "PoTC Earring" as it was often referred to, and tried to recreate the long-lost Earring of the Solstice, only with a very decided crafter twist to the final product. More importantly, in many people's eyes (yes, we really do like our fluff that much!), they were then able to claim a Master certificate for their home, and a class-specific cloak. Well done, for all those who have already obtained these lovely items, and three cheers (and then some) to those who participated in our forum discussion. EQ2TC is pleased to provide crafters with their very own epic quest writeup.

Yeah it was awesome. Kithicor banded up a crafter raid in Qeynos Harbor last night. It's too bad we couldn't find a woodworker or weaponsmith until late into the early morning, or most of us could have finished the quest.

Congratulations to Najena crafters for being the first server to recreate the Earring of the Solstice! And congratulations also to Antonia Bayle, following close behind, and to everyone who followed and is still following. And of course, many thank yous are owed to Srukin, Feconix, and our apprentice Timetraveller for assistance with the instances; our fabulous art team for making those amazing looking cloaks in such a short time frame; the wonderful EQ2 QA team who somehow manages to find amazing numbers of bugs even after I go through checking the quests 20 times over; EQ2Traders for having such a detailed write up of the original EQ1 earring that helped to plan out the new quest; Vhalen for letting me borrow his enchanted cauldron character to help the craftsmen; and many other people too numerous to list. <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Huzzah!

Hands down, Domino and crew did a fabulous job with this publish. There was even a bit of hand holding over on the PvP server amongst crafters. Of course, a lot of it was Q's or Freeps ambushing the quest points. But, progress was made none the less. And, what's a few deaths, eh?!Niami and everyone in the tradeskill forum did an incredible job keeping all of us updated with newest information. The quill.. errr sewing needle.. er.. blacksmith hammer.. meh.. they're all greater than the sword!

Runnyeye formed its first crafting raid last night. Finished it about 6 hours ago.. It was amazing.. Took several hours to get all the commission work done, and had a lil wait for someone getting an alt through the tailor quest so we all could finish our cloaks..

Kudos for this nice artisan quest..
