Fae Illusion

They are gone!!! My wings are gone!!! When I use an illusion, the wings disappear. Its great. Now I can use my guise or any other illusion and not have my wings showing.

I don't think I ever posted about it asking for it to get changed, but if it's true I think it is a good thing. I never particulary liked those giant wings. It was fun the first time, but not really after that. They made me never use an illusion on my arasai, even though I wanted to....Now if they could also get rid of the forced baldness for froggies while using humanoid illusions..... <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />

I thought having wings in illusion form was a feature.  I guess it was a bug.  Someone commented to me just before the patch while I was standing on the docks in troll form, "You have beautiful wings, but such an ugly face!"  It gave my character character.  It also made sense to have wings because we still have glide in illusion form, and now I look silly when I jump.  Wings and glide go together.I understand people who want to 'blend in' while in illusion, it has obvious merits as well.I would <i>love love love </i>to have a /showwings option.  Please?  That would make everyone happy.

<p>Yeah there were tons of winged Ratongas running around. Infact, they made themselves out to be a whole other race and this completely destroyed all of their role-play based on that. A real shame. I think there should be a cloak apperance item for wings for ANYONE to wear, honestly. Reall apperance options like that or the ability to turn them on or off with a Fae would be great. Now look what happened. No more wings for anyone.</p>

I am so completely bummed!    <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/c30b4198e0907b23b8246bdd52aa1c3c.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />I always thought that leaving the wings on faes using illusions was a very cool touch.  I even spent a pretty penny buying bone collections because it was so fun to be a winged rat, ogre, or whatever. It’s silly, but this small change of such a trivial game mechanic has disappointed me more than any of my class nerfs (and my fae isn’t even my main).  Sometimes the smallest things can make the biggest difference.

Enjoy.</blockquote><p>I never complained or cheered on this issue, but I think labeling people who /bugged it as whiners who are hell bent on a crusade to doom any fun is a tad bit far fetched.</p><p>To play on a completely neutral point of view, if the fae wings were not intended as part of the illusion then it would have been a /bug and therefor needed to have been fixed.</p><p>But then again, if it wasnt a bug and not detrimental to gameplay then they should have left it alone.  But it sounded more like a bug to me than a cute perk (although I would have loved to see a flock of Faetongas!)</p>

I started a pixie because I saw another character as a wood elf with wings, and thought it would be fun to play because of that image.  I would really like the options of having my wings show in illusion form.

Whiners seem to be a perpetual annoyance to us whom seem to enjoy the little extra's in the game, that other deem 'stupid' or 'takes to long to do'.

<p>Sadly, the "Ogres with itchy back" movement decreed that we remove the wings, since they couldn't then scratch against a corner anymore without breaking the fragile Fae/Arasai wings.</p><p>~Gnobrin!</p>
