A ranger in my guild brought this up after drooling over the GU42 update video. The new bow epic looks downright awesome. But there are also a lot of really cool looking bows out there which basically only are seen when A) a player is in combat or B) when a player finishes combat using ranged, so the bow ends up being the graphic on their back.Would it be possible to get a setting put in - the way that we have one for capes to show/not show and for guild colors to show/not show, that players could toggle, where, if they have a bow equipped, they ccould choose to set it as their primary "back slot" graphic? My troub has a decent-looking bow, but if I had a really cool looking bow I'd love to show it off all the time. Plus, I think there's a lot of the scout classes who would really enjoy showing off their bows simply as part of the "class look". thanks!

In EQ1 you would show the weapon equipped last, so either your swords or your bow.

With my ranger I always went for the bow look for the roleplaying aspect - Rangers wields bows!

Come on Devs, we want bows on our backs.

For some reason the cloak hides the bow at times. The bow shows up just fine right after you finish using it with our without you cloak. If you toggle your cloaks off then your bow will be visible. It would be nice to have the cloak and the bow as well without having to force it to happen each time.

I guess the only trouble with a straight ranged vs. melee toggle might be that other toons might end up with non-bow ranged items stuck to their backs. That could get a little strange. I don't want to see any of the weapons go away to be honest. I like melee and ranged weapons both showing up, so it would be nice if the bow stayed on top of the cloak at all times. Yes, even in the rain. It is a fantasy game, so that shouldn't mess things up too much.

here's the thing with the bows. People have been asking the DEVs since beta to show the bows on the back at all times but out of the almost 4 years Ive been playing, Ive only seen one dev respond to it...and that was back in 04. And that response was, we'll look into it.

I, too, would love to see this implemented, but I highly doubt they'll do anything about it (which is a shame &nbsp

Even though I play a swashy, and use throw, I'd put Raincaller on my back for around town and stuff. So I agree, this should be an option.
