<p>from eq2flames - zerker forum</p><p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="color: #cc0000;"><b><i>The Responsibilities / consequences of a Berserkers Rage</i> </b></span></span>Step 1: Speak with Apprenetice neemariin SS (-1026,-230,-1209) Next head to Dire Hallow in Nektulos and speak with Master Or'kales, you will then killthe wizard, once he is dead you will have to kill 8 voidlings after speaking with his apprentice. After the apprentice tells you that you must hunt beast pouring out of other portals aroundnorath. Head to PoF 1725,-206,-926 Kill 8 Voidlings Next head to Kunzar Jungle, -49, 149, -1042 approx. (near fate of norrath starter). The mobs are 81 and 82 ^^^ nightblood and lamia youwill need to kill 8 of these for updatesAfter this is complete you head back to Dire Hollow you will be told to find Murk Alchemist, Greenmist Orb, Weapon of another plane <span style="font-size: small;"><span style="color: #cc0000;"><b><i>Murk Alchemist:</i></b> </span></span><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="color: #cc0000;"></span></span></p><p>(Ratonga language is needed, Q´s can get it from Garglari in Teren's Grasp at loc 1859, 483, -812)</p><p>Edgewater Drains, first level. Loc about +83, +33, +75 (comalv), you have to speak to Vasily, he will tell you that he is busy, but if you wait, he will then talk to you and require a few gold through his dialogue.</p><p>He will then offer you another quest. <i><b><span style="font-size: small;color: #cc0000;">The mystery of the Firewater Crystal</span></b></i>Asks for a flame emerald (<i>Faction merchant in Jinisk requires 40k faction</i>) and kedge gills (<i> Gorowyn Knight Sentinel in Char dok or Nak'azar in chardok near hanging tower</i>. )After retrieving both items return them to Vasily, and he will update your quest after you buy the firewater emerald from him, Next return to the apprentice for the next step in your quest for the Greenmist Orb. The apprentice will have you search out a mystic, he is in BB at -309 173.06 -242.68 (Bofin Axeshadow) in Fort Irontoe East. Good toons get update from hailing him, evil toons have to kill his cat on bookshelf then hail him for update. Next he will tell you that a iksaar in kunark has the orb.Head to Sebilis and venture to the Laboratory/Study and enter the secret room (using the clicky)(-297, -25, 374)Kill named or PH in the room down the few steps, both have body drop of the orb, it auto updates your quest. Or you can venture to lower sebilis and kill satharian lich or oracle they also drop the update. <i>BE AWARE ITS NO TRADE, SO WARN YOUR GROUP !!</i>Next you will have to find the weapon of another wordly plane, travel to BS and Isle of Desolation (harvest a statue at 409,292,-647) and bring it Izzal Din in JW at (-688,-108,-853), he will then tell you go hunt beast that plagued norrath before the rendering. Kill Eldrig the young in Skyfire and he will drop entrails that you can use on the bones directly behind him to spawn eldrig the old. Once you kill him you will get your update. (Dragons Temper)(-1369,247,1,681)After you have your dragons temper head back to Dire Hallow and protect the apprentice while he cast a spell. A portal will open behind him and drolvargs will start to come out, bring lots of dps or a mezzer to lock them down until the apprentice is finished with his spell. Once done, hail him for your heroic version of the epic. </p><p><b><span style="font-size: small;color: #cc0000;">Mythical version:</span></b>To start the raid version of your epic head back to Izzal Din in JW (-688,-108,-853) He will then give you the epic version of the quest. <p>I found the zerker epic a bit ago</p><p>first go to sinking sands, location near -1026,-230,-1209, close to silent city back door, kerra ghost on a rock, talk to him.</p><p>go to nek forest and zone into dire hollow, talk to wizzie, then he gets marker and you can talk to him again</p><p>quest name "The Responsibilities of a Berserker's Rage"</p>

The dialog i followed the wizzie attacked and i killed him and recieved "the consequences of a berserkers rage" and now have to find rifts across norath to stop the horde from coming through.
<p>I can confirm this. Need to find another tear and defeat 8 more monsters, somewhere in Norrath</p>
<p>Can anyone at least say what zone or zones they find any rifts in? i don't really want locations but would like at least to narrow it down a bit, running my [Removed for Content] off around nek at the moment will update as i find any but all help would be appreciated</p>

I'm not a zerker but I'm a lore buff. If you're looking for shadowed men you might want to check the Shadowed Grove near OoB (or maybe even OoB itself) in the Lesser Faydark <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<p>Im beginning to think we should be looking in smaller instance zones such as the one we started this quest in. The Rifts would obviously have to be activated by us somehow either on approach or by zoning into and could not be persistant which is why i think they wont be found in overland zones. Couldnt have one of these rifts in Antonica for instance and run the risk of having lvl 73^ mobs knocking over lowbies.</p><p>Some zones i might look into:</p><ul><li>D'morte Burial Chamber</li><li>Shattered Vale</li><li>Valley of the Rogue Magi</li><li>Lair of the Necromancer</li><li>Gnoll Cave</li><li>Darkened Den</li><li>Cleansing of the Cove</li><li>Forbidden Sepulcher</li><li>Pirates Hidden Stash</li><li>Tallon Hoarding Halls</li><li>Cave of Wonder</li><li>Cavern of Tangled Weeds</li></ul><p>Theres more i know but thats a place to start. There may even be another entry option attached like there was with the Dire Hollow. Worth a crack anyhows.</p>

<p>The first portal that you have to find outside of the wizards instance is found in PoF. Where the epic x2 dragon pops. The portal is right beside the dragon. I think his name is like Bakaarh or something like that. Went and got my update at 1am cst.</p><p>Here is the loc 1679, 194, -915</p><p>Also if your from FP the epic quest is entitled Consequences of a Berserk Rage, and if your from Qey. its call the Responsibilites of a Berserk Rage. Dont know if that is significant or not.</p>

Yeah... I'm not discovering any new info but I am trying to keep the Zerker, Fury, and Dirge ones up to date from eq2 flames & EQ2 players when possible and I have improved the formatting a bunch.Obviously other people are editing the wiki also... but I'm trying hard to make it legible to get everyone up to the same page so you can keep up with eachother and go to the next step... and I just leech off your knowledge... MUHAHAHAHAHAHA

Not sure if this is the etheral sword that one need's for the berseker epic from reading what is up of the walk-through, but when I was doing some writs for traksaurers, just afer you leave snake-eyes camp and head toward the valley with them in it (not the trakraptors valley where the epic x 2 wanders), at the start of the incline is a etheral looking sword stuck in the ground.

<p>Thats just... just plain awful. The effect is very underwhelming and the delay is all wrong for any practical use over traditional slow-wielding weapons that zerkers use.</p><p>Did the person who stated these epics ever play the game?</p>

i think they just cookie cuttered our weapon from the mold the rest came from. some of the epics seem nice, but others are pure crap at this point. thing is, all they would need to do to make this more usefull is to increase the delay to 4 or 4.5 secs and make the damage spread appropriate for the delay.

I have been doing tons of runs through different heroic areas to help people on their epics...Both nights I had a dirge, myself, and an inquis.The epic parsed out higher against the Nathsar Shortsword. I'm sure there are raid weapons that are going to parse higher, but I'm satisfied with the epic weapon in relation to the amount of time investment it takes to get.

If you all haven't seen the latest info on epics... DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE.Our epic looks bad at first... but the ones that looked bad from a raider stand point seem to be the ones that look the best when you get the REAL version... the MYTHICAL one.Yes that is right... like EoF weaps wheer you got a legendary and a fabled version depending on if you did the raids or not... this one is FABLED AND MYTHICAL.OH MY GOD the mythical ones are HOT.I have not seen the zerker mythical yet... but I was just linked the Guardian one in game... and I have seen like 5 others.Guiardian changes from fabled to mythical includeddmg rating bumped to 120 (OMG.. 1 hander of doom)stats jumped...but here are the 2 kickers...IMMUNITY TO RIPOSTE!!!REMOVAL OF BUCKLER REQUIREMENT FOR STA LINE!!!These things are EPIC as promised... now someone go get us a mythical and link the thing!

<p>Got mine last night... was nice upgrade in DPS. Was using Soulfire Gladius/Carotidcutter previously and this was a nice upgrade. Quest is worth it. Don't complain about this weapon not "appearing" to be nice. Get it and then complain if you don't like it. The mythical version is insane and I am for one glad I put in the time and effort to do this. Only took about 20 hours or so total game time to complete, and most of that was getting pwned in that last instance until we figured out the strat(Which is mezzer+High DPS FTW). Was one of the first to do it on Oasis, and was a really nice feeling to be a pioneer on the quest and do the ring event on my own without reading how to do it. </p><p>Holy sh*t was that ring event hard LOL! Be prepared to die over and over until you get your ducks in a row and can get the spawn/mez timers down pat. Positioning plus hotkeys to target the "a rabid drolvarg" is key. Have your tank (should be you, n00b zerk =P) up against the pillar adjacent to the portal(for knockback) and have the healers to the left on the rock with the mezzer farther up so he can target closest drolvarg with hotkey and mez ASAP (that is key). Locking down adds while burning hardcore on the one you have on you is key. We had a 80 Mystic, 80 Wizard, 80 Swash, 80 Dirge, 80 Illusionist and myself (80 zerk, 140 AA's) FTW. If you can keep it to one mezzed and one being burned and have your DPS above 7500, you win. All you have to do is survive for more than 5 min and you get your update. They can spawn faster or slower sometimes too, so don't be afraid to zone out and reset it until you get it right.</p><p> Don't give up on this quest guys, will be worth it in the long run. I personally would have liked to see more of a "tank" based proc or buff increase on it (like a hate proc or zerk increase or something), but I am happy with it. Tanked Chelsith last night and did 2.5k zonewide. Can't complain about that. Plus, I can hold aggro off 80 Ranger and 80 Wiz with no hate transfer buffs, so again, can't complain. Was a fun quest and was worth it over all. GL to all you zerks out there on getting yours!! =)</p>

Those things hit HARD... yet you need the DPS to take them down fast and you can't zone in an extra healer to helpWe also tanked at the pillar.... I wanted to 3 box it to lower the request for help but there is just no way.... this is HARD... even with an enchanter.Zerker, Zerker, Assassin, Fury, Brigand, Illusionist I think was the group composition.Take a note... if 2 zerkers do this quest.. doing it together is OK obviously we won... but let me save you some trouble... if you BOTH talk to the dude he will double spawn them on you and you will NOT be able to live through that... and if you win only the dude who talked gets the update so you will have to do it twice. I would suggest taking 7 people and just running the quest twice with a different zerker in each attempt... it's not long and the class variation would be welcomed.Also I posted the mythical quest starting dialogue to the wikia on the discussions tab... if anyone wanted it.And Drexler you mean the Mythical not the fabled epic right? The fabled is already posted...

<p>I can not convey my anger over this without major sensorship.</p><p>All 3 effects are useless to us because:</p><p>1. As a MT a guard is miles better now with increase survivability while maintaining DPS - Tower shield avoid and DA% together.</p><p>2. if we get an OT roll the 300% HP regen to hate is crap and will actually make things more dificult for us as we will be pulling aggro faster than a $100 ... (nevermind). Besides VP is single target encounters only so we dont need aggro unless the guard goes down and Rescue and gibe take care of the rest.</p><p>3. Aoe - hmmm can u say open wounds. already have that ability dont need it again with a [Removed for Content] clickie effect again due to high end content being mainly single target. (no effect to DPS so worthless)</p><p>4. More DA% - give me a break. Raid buffed I already run like 80%. I dont need more.</p><p>What I do need is better survivability skills when I do get aggro because either way I WILL get it either through increased DPS and/or the [Removed for Content] HP Regen aggro transfer.</p><p>As many others are saying, say good bye to the high-end raid zerkers because looks like we are all going to betray. Looks to me like guards are becoming the class I expected zerkers to be.</p>

<p>I got an update for the "kedge gills" in Court of Korucust by one of the living sarnaks in the entrance area.</p><p>For the green mist orb update getting down to general area wasn't TOO difficult. The difficulty came when moving in through the library and then through the secret passage as there were groups of 2 mobs (heroic ^^)REALLY close to each other, and they were casters to boot so there's no "pulling" them unless you run them all the way out of casting range (which we had to do). Died a few times but mostly because of too many repops. The named himself is pretty easy and didn't do anything odd.</p><p><i><<<if we get an OT roll the 300% HP regen to hate is crap and will actually make things more dificult for us as we will be pulling aggro faster>>></i></p><p>I don't think we'll pull THAT much aggro when we don't have to, since how much are we really regen'ing when we're not tanking? Not to say we NEVER are, but I don't think it would be a lot. I guess we'll just have to see.I suppose I'll be careful when I intercede on the tank when he's pulling. I could see that pulling aggro pretty bad.As a main tank....I'm looking forward to seeing how much more aggro I'll generate when I'm below 30 percent health regen close to 1000 hp a tick =D</p>
