I have 2 questions concerning the "reach" aa.

1. Is there any way to disable it for a short period so as not to pull aggro while using aoe attacks with the extended range?

2. Just how far is the attack range of our 2 aoe's when we have aquired "reach"?

I don't believe that the reach aa can be disabled, which is actually one reason I didn't go down that line. I kinda know my range pretty good, and with our aoe and auto aoe I was afraid I'd be pulling in unwanted adds. Perhaps someone who has the line can add/ clarify this point. I'd be interested to know myself.

No way of disabling it that I know of. I just got it a few points ago and am still trying to get the hang of it. I have single handedly wiped our group a few times already by pulling mobs through walls and what not. That and am still figuring out that I need to disable hurricane so that I'm not pulling guards and any other misc attackable npcs around. Don't know the range on the two AE's atm. sorry.

I have had reach now for couple of weeks and enjoy it. It can not be disabled and the last ability only extends the reach of your Autoattack and ranged, Not your AOE's. The AOE's are extended via the choices higher in the line. You could make a choice on one and only make say the Large AOE extend and put the rest the points in the dagger skill if you want to make the line a bit more situational. Then you would have one of each for those tight spaces.

The reason it is beneficial is possitioning of hurricane is a lot easier and hurricane has a lot more of a chance to hit additional mobs. In addition, you will see your aoe damage go up from hitting additional mobs. I havn't had too much of a problem pulling agro from the ae's, 10 meters is not that far in comparison to many of the other classes aoe range. It is managable.

if you are within 10m of an aggro mob, its already on you, you won't be pulling it with reach + hurricane. for raids, dungeons, nearly everywhere, reach + hurricane just gives you more dps for the encounter that isn not positioned well.

if its a non-aggro mob, who cares? put it behind you, stand in front of it, whatever.. there aren't many places where there are ^^^ non aggro mobs, but if you're overly worried about pulling them just turn hurricane off for a few mins...

our 2 aoe's WILL pull a lot of things, though, so use them situationally in closed in dungeon areas..

if you dont have reach, what do you have in its place? reach is excellent for group encounters, esp since its tough for the MT to position all mobs on top of eachother..

I've had the Reach AA for over a year and it extends the reach of all attacks as far as I've seen.

I was just trying to clarify that it will not also increase your AE skills 80% over the 10 meters the previous AA's increased them to. 18 meter ae's would be hard to manage... lol.
