Haste. Which Slot??

I currently have the CoF and the Fabled Range Slot item from MMIS with  7 haste. I keep debating on which one to use, as I also have other good items for both those slots. How important is haste to a Sk anyway??? With self haste and CoF, I have 43, and with the totem and self I have 25. Opinions? Advice?JohudGuk

Well, haste only affects melee auto attack.  So... if you have a weapon that does a ton of damage and is on a low delay, then haste would be very nice to have.On the other hand, most SKs now a days, parse with only about 30-40% of their damage from auto attack (and that's with some nice weapons)... so it depends on your gear and build a lot too.  Procs will hit more often with more haste as well.For me, especially when tanking, haste isn't as important as spell damage, casting haste, or INT.  So, to each their own I guess (but I'm also not spec'd deeply in the str line either).

<p>For me, Haste isn't a huge issue. Sure it's nice to have if you can get your hands on it, but chances are you'll hardly ever get enough on yoru gear to make a huge difference in your DPS. If you can find some pieces that have it and it doesn't take away from your stats too much then go with it, but I wouldn't sacrifice stats for a haste item unless it has a huge chunk on it (i.e 20-30 points).</p>

So the T8 collection of the Chodakai Collar belts, with the 28 haste and +2 damage crit on the belt is pretty sweet then. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Dont forget you can get a fabled weapon adornment that gives +20 haste at T7 (dunno what the T8 version does). That means that you put it on the weapon that needs the haste, so swapping back to a 1 hnd you can get a different benefit. I put the T7 one on my SoD 2 hnd and its taken the delay down from 6 seconds down to 5, including other haste its now down to 4.1.

<p>You want a proc adorn on your 2h and haste in another slot. Otherwise you're just giving up DPS.</p><p>Chokidai belt is sweet...there don't seem to be alot of really killer belts in RoK so it's not like you're sacrificing a better use of the slot to get it(as with the CoF).</p>

I find haste is usually a waste of a slot, the only haste item I will wear once i get it is the Baldric of the Di'Zok Warlord. I usually use Smoldering Rapid Handgrips Adornment on my 2h weapons and helps maximize DPS. In reality a lot of haste items are a waste of a slot where you could get much more benefit from another item.
