Any indication yet on whether or not he Bruiser/Monk epic weapons will be usable with the STR line? I suspect no, since they have been so tight lipped about the epics, but the idea of using the two together has me quite excited. =D

The safe bet is a no knowing SoE, but there are numerous reasons why I think they should. I personally don't think Epic weapons should negate the usefulleness of an entire AA tree for any class.

sigh. should at least be able to use fist weapons with your fists. seriously, who would use their bare knuckles when you could put on brass knuckles =p

My rub for the STR line not working with Epics, is that personally I don't believe that a Monk/Bruiser who chooses to spec the STR line (for whatever their reason is) should have to be forced to respec out of it (because it's usefullness is completely negated) in order to use their class defining epic weapon. My suspicion is that Monks/Bruisers are the only classes that have this issue with their Epic weapons.

In the past it was always a decision for a Monk/Bruiser to either go unarmed or use weapons, but with Epic weapons what Monk/Bruiser is going to actually choose not to use their class defining Epic Weapon? Seeing as I suspect the answer is none to that question, I think it's unfair (not to sound like a whine) that a respec is required.

It will be very lame planning on SoE's part if this is the case, but even as I write this I already can bet it will be.
