<p>I have found a good way to help supplement the *create lvl 1 Adept 3's and then break them* methodology.  One of your lesser alts just needs to go out adventuring in like Varsoon, Stormhold, Nek Castle, Fallen Gate, RE or some other zone and just go farming.  Granted this is not that amusing (unless you break out the overalls), but it will help build up some shards and powders that are a little higher lvl.  If you do an adornment that is your lvl, you have a greater chance of getting skill up (even though it is still subject to RNG).</p><p>It is very depressing that I spend 3 hours harvesting in Queens Colony, 1 hour making Adept 3's, and then 30 minutes breaking and adorning for only 3 skillups, when I do 3 hours of adventuring with lowbie alt and then break all the crap I get from that and get 6 skillups in 30 minutes.  ***ponders***  But I guess that is the benefit of having a 52 Warden Alt who is a 74 Alchemist with a whomping 193 Transmuting Skill!!!  **WOOT**   <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/e8a506dc4ad763aca51bec4ca7dc8560.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="39" height="32" /></p><p> And Mum, I would just like to say <span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: #0033cc;">Y</span><span style="color: #ffff00;">O</span><span style="color: #ff0000;">U</span> <span style="color: #00ff00;">R</span><span style="color: #ff6600;">O</span><span style="color: #ff00cc;">C</span><span style="color: #9900ff;">K</span>! </span><span style="font-size: x-small;">Your site has been a most resourceful tool for my crafters!!  /Bow</span></p>

<p>What makes it 10x worse is if you have a high lvl crafter who is mutting.  You are all pumped and stoked b/c you get the skillup, but then it says 100 something out of 400!!  ZOMG!</p><p>You work so hard for that one skillup only to be told how much further you have to go.  That is pretty much equivalent to having a pet gnome standing right next to you to kick you in your jewels anytime you get a skillup!  Don't know about you, but having such a pet might just make mutting a little more exciting/adventurous!  <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p>

hit 375 shortly after RoK ( not going to push for 400 to lazy) and it is so much easier when you lost your mind long ago from old days of relaying on other crafters for your own and having started 7 alts to help support your main crafter for a grand total of 9 crafters (provis came in late as drink was costly for so many crafters) but yes sanity will be of no help when going for 375+ transmuting <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/385970365b8ed7503b4294502a458efa.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />

I'm not far behind you all, I think I'm sitting at 125/400 or something like that.  Good thing I'm an altoholic so I can farm the lower tiers for adept drops and work on my harvesting skillups looking for rares - my jeweler loves the practice!I loved your write up about your 'muting experience; that's pretty much how I felt when I first started the trade!  Nice job hehe good for a laugh too.
