I looked at the picture of the mannequins linked from information recently posted on the home page of the EQ2 Players Website. I see that the armor you put on the mannequin is not removed from your inventory. Is there any way to change this so you have a choice to store the armor on the mannequin instead of having the armor stored in a bag in your bank or house vault. I'm also wondering if you can put armor on the mannequin that you're not physically wearing.I also have some other ideas and questions.Several of us that were excited about the mannequins are not quite as excited anymore because it seems to have several mannequins wearing armor in our house, we have to set aside 11 spaces in storage for each one. (Plus obtain a rare pelt, which are next to impossible to find, and I'm still doing writs working on the status I need to get the recipe.)People who have a huge need for storage (tradeskillers, etc.) most likely won't be able to put as many mannequins in their house as they want because of lack of inventory space. Some folks might want to display many set of armors - baby clothes on up.Tailors, armorsmiths and weaponsmiths who might have considered the mannequins as a way to display what they can craft might not be able to due to the large amount of storage space it would take to show off all the different types and levels or armor and weapons, etc.The mannequins only seem to be designed for players who want to show off their latest acquisitions. Is this the jest of it?The questions is would it be possible to create two, maybe three, different types of mannequins? One type purely for show. One for storage, and one to use as a sales display for tradeskillers.Imagine how cool it would be to go to an armorsmiths house and actually view the different types of armor on a mannequin, be able to examine it, use the dressing room to see how it looks, and then purchase the item. If the crafter has more than one, say helmet, in the slot, the mannequin would continue to show the helmet. If there are no more helmets stored for sale in the mannequin, the head slot would be bare until restocked.Wouldn't it be great to have mannequins where you could store various full sets of armor (clothes) that you could switch between? Now, that we have appearance slots, we have so many additional options for clothing. We could have a set of casual clothes, everyday armor and raid armor, etc. stored on individual mannequins. I want to go harvest or look for shinies, so I go to my house and switch my casual clothes (that I wear to craft) with my everyday armor, and away I go. I come home, it's time to raid, so I go to my mannequin and quickly change again. Personally, I know if I could store my clothes on a mannequin, I'd probably have more sets. Currently, we just don't have the "closet" space. Seems this would be a great thing for crafters who sell items that can be worn. All those wonderful LON cloaks would have a place to be shown off, to become works of art in themselves, so to speak. The possibiliites are endless here.Mannequins could be so much more. Is there a chance they could be enhanced into three different types?

There's already two very lengthy discussions on this topic in the Tradeskill forum. All of your issues have been touch on there. On a personal note about the pelts, they aren't that hard to get if you just go out and harvest for them. I'm sitting on 32 now waiting on GU42 and most of those were obtained within a weeks time from focusing on harvesting nothing but dens. And btw, you don't need to keep the armor you dress the mannequins in. You're free to do whatever you like with the armor after the mannequin has been "imprinted" with it. So no storage space is needed unless you just really HAVE to keep that set of armor for your own personal appearance reasons. And yes, ANY armor that is in your personal storage (IE bank, house vault, inventory) can be used on the mannequins.

I did read some of the past in the tradeskill forum, but I thought the proper place to discuss stuff on test was the test forum. I checked carefully and didn't see a thread here, nor did I remember any of the subjects I talked about in any of the posts I read in the tradeskill forum, I decided to post here.I'll check the tradeskill forum and see if there had been talk about the created of three different types of mannequins to better serve all players. Thanks for the reply.I guess the mannequins are just basically for decoration with no practical purpose - not that I don't love decoration, being a level 80 carpenter needing only about 3,000 more status to be able to get the special recipes. I'm just relating some of what I hear from my non-crafter friends, who don't understand our need for more pretties and don't decorate, etc. Personally, I like to balance pretty with function, which is why I threw out some ideas for discussion about something on test in the test forums. Besides pretty things with a practical purpose sell better. As to pelts, I've only harvested one since ROK came out, but I don't have time to harvest as much as I'd like because work has been EPIC of late.

This thread you might find the most info with the same suggestions as you have.I'm not saying you're wrong for posting in test for testing feedback, I just know Domino likes to keep her feedback centralized and since most of the discussion on mannequins has been there, I felt you might have a better chance at being heard if you posted your views there as well.

Thank you. I missed that thread entirely, although I thought I looked and read some of each of the others. I can't complain about multiple threads on the same subject as I started one, too.Thank goodness nice folks like you try to keep us all on the same page.
