Mana leak

/doh<a href="http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Bronze_and_Pearl_Inlaid_Earcuff" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Bronze and Pearl Inlaid Earcuff</a> looked like a nice item with a power proc on heals to boot.Guess I should have figured it out,  but Mana Leak is _NOT_ a power proc.     Its a power drain.Now it power drains and often is giving the tank power,  and the power drain is absorbed by some of our wards,  so its still perhaps not always bad,  but quite a bit more situational than I initially thought.I'm probably the only one that didn't read the fine print,  but just in case,

In my experience the drain is usually prevented by my wards. I have 2 manawell items when I raid and I barely notice any mana being drained from me. FYI when casting a group ward or Heal this item can proc on any group member, at least until they nerf it.

<p>Mana leak is not the same as manawell.</p><p>IMO, Mana leak is not worth using. When it procs, one group heal can easily cost you 1000 power.</p>

Manaleak also is mitigated by your Magic resistance.  So, you might give your target 200 mana, while costing yourself only 80 or so power.I still don't use it, but if you feel the need, there's something useful to keep in mind.

If multiple people in the group have items proccing mana leak then it basically act as uber power regen. Very nice, but not to use by yourself.

<p>One thing i want to bring to attention to anyone who doesnt know, If you use alot of mana procing items try to get items that have different spell effect names on them. </p><p>Here are some examples of proc names for some items:</p><p>Replenishing heal</p><p>Manawell</p><p>Lesser Manawell  (This proc usually shows up on a tresured item.)</p><p>I have tried using all legendary items just because they are legendary and I figure i would be better off with legendary over a tresured. But it seems that is not the case, I have noticed that if instead of haveing 2 manawell items I take a Manawell item off and put a lesser manawell item on I get 2 times as much power procing per heal then if I use 2 manawells. It seems that 2 manawell items dont seem to stack. So I currently have a Repleneishing heal, Manawell, and Lesser manawell item on. I chain cast in PvP groups, and in long raid fights, and Im always full power even if its a 10 minute fight.  Another example on how good it works is I currently solo heal CoA and I never cure the Trama off myself and we chain pull and Im still full power. I put the mana leak item on as well In CoA with all the other mana proc items and I feed the tank power by chain casting my heals and It helps keep him full power as well. </p>
