I wish I could make a costume... but no premade wings near the Fae wings... And I would be SO lost at making them myself.

Use somewhat stiff wire and sew it to some gauze maybe double thick then use either liquid latex or whatever else they use to do the pattern. set it all on a sturdy frame as you will be in a place that is likely really crowed. o.O Whoah never though being a assistant maintenance for a Hotel would give me ideas on that...

Don't put off for tomorrow what you could do in your hotel room at Fan Faire!

Procrastination is great for costumes. Makes the story oh so much better.

We were in negotiation for a lovely 5' (tall) set of opalescent wings for my role as Queen Titania for a LARP. $150. Sadly, I lost her contact information. But she made the most amazing things.

You're an inspiration to us all, Brasse. Just don't expect me to go wearing a rat costume to Fan Faire. Somebody at Chucky Cheese would probably drag me off spouting "You're late for work! Think about the kids, man!".

I wonder if they would allow a full set of plate through security check... If so I might get one

I dunno, Brasse. They make Titanium chainmaille suits for LARPers and SCA... I am sure one can buy Titanium Plate, it will cost a bit more but will weigh much less.

http://tiarmour.com/

http://www.theringlord.com/metals.shtml (This place rocks!)

Still lightweight, and generally going to be MUCH cheaper than titanium (even just raw materials-wise, ignoring the extra labor involved in working the harder metal). True, it won't have the strength of titanium, and depending on the ring AR and weave, rough-housing might not be a good idea - but as a costume piece it'd still be immensely practical. Brite/Bright, anodized, or even etched aluminum will avoid most of the stereotypical aluminum rub-off.(and much love for www.theringlord.com - absolutely wonderful site, business, & community)

hmm.. I wonder if anyone would care if I made the dress cover just a bit more of my leg. Love those dresses, but Lysari's leg is a bit more toned than mine is.
