Hello!I am about to hit level 80 and my MC stuff is sucking the big one. I am going to have 43% mitigation in my offensive stance when I reach the level 80 in the next few days. I know a lot of items drop from various group instances, and there is some nice stuff on the faction merchants. I was wondering what you guys would suggest I take a look at? I would like to get my mitigation up to 4,000 if possible (It's around 3,200 right now). If I can find a piece with at least 500 on it, then my goal can be reached, and I have some pieces right now actually (I think 2). I know another one can come from the Waste Hunter quest (so that is 3). There are also a few Ravaged and Onslaught pieces on the broker, so that is another 1 or 2.Any ideas? If you can give the name of the item so I can do a search (or a link would be even cooler! lol), that would be very helpful.Oh - on a side note, I have noticed this with MC vs quest gear: the MC has really good stats (most pieces are +30 STR/STA/AGI). Whenever I find an item from a quest, it usually is either totally missing AGI, or has a tiny bit of AGI but less with STR/STA. The only real plus is the mitigation on it. I find that the MC would give me the best avoidance (due to the more AGI and +chance to block), but the other gear would give me +mitigation. I know that mitigation > avoidance (and I will be wearing higher mitigation items at 80), but just wanted to hear some other people's thoughts on this. Thanks!

In RoK I've pretty much gone to completely different sets of armor that I wear for different things.

One for soloing and group/raid DPS which consists of almost all Incarnadine Devout armor and jewelry to maximize +spell and +ca damage and with significant haste. Maximizes Strength and Int.

And I keep a second set for tanking which maximizes Stamina/Agility for Defense/Avoidance and Mitigation with a few double attack pieces in there.

I also have one set for healing, which I haven't really used which maximizes +heal and Wisdom and one set for ranged DPS which maximizes Agility, Int and +spell damage.

Pretty much always wearing the Talisman of Thugga on the neck slot. The boots from the Wastes Hunter line are in both the DPS and tanking sets. I also use the Belt of the Skorpikis Lord, purchased from the Skorpikis faction in JW. Very nice item that gives +4 crushing/piercing/slashing and nice strength.

I'm still using some T7 gear too. The Claymore for damage, haven't found a weapon that's better yet. Signet of Light from Darkness on one ring finger... don't think I'll ever get rid of that. Amulet of the Forsworn on a wrist giving +23 attack speed. Still wearing my Marr cloak too for DPS and tanking.

Thanks for the replying!I am using MC for my dps/solo gear. I really like the +315 CA damage, that really helps. Level 80 has given me enough defensive skills so I can solo without getting my butt kicked doing guild writs - which is pretty much what I wanted for solo gear.On tank gear, I finally got some decent quest rewards with a few pieces that have 487 mitigation, and two pieces with 500 mitigation on. I don't remember their names yet, but I'll find out. Anyways, when I equip these, I have, 48.1% mitigation in my offensive stance with 50.4~% in my defensive stance vs a level 80 mob. I still have three or four pieces to upgrade! OH! I did pick up the dreadscale greaves for 8 pp. They have 567 mitigation on them - this was awesome.I have an entire suit of melee crit gear, but I haven't used that yet. I should be up to around almost 40% melee crit with that on.I am working on my healing gear, but haven't really put in much effort there. I'll have to look at my bank and see what is in there (lol, I saved every single piece of quest loot from RoK, lets just say my bank is filled). On a side note - is 50% mitigation (defensive stance on), 35% avoidance (I am close to getting block mastery, using MC kite shield), and 10,500 HP "acceptable" to tank the level 80 instances? What should I aim for for the above attributes? In my KC group (only level 80 was myself and the wizard), I was group buffed and my stats were: 55% mitigation, 39% avoidance, 12,500ish HP.Thanks!

There's a good thread on gear by slot, both for raiding and non-raiding paladins, at http://www.eq2flames.com/paladins/Your avoidance is really low. Other than that, though, you're good. Blocking mastery and the right adornments will fix that.

I'm hunting down the sanctification and ravaged onslaught sets from the heroic zones / instances in RoK. Conciderably better than MC.I think the old EoF Kyle Bayle legendary set is better than the 72 MC in terms of Mit but i cant be sure.

After looking at my stats this morning in defensive stance, my avoidance numbers were wrong, they are: 44% in defensive stance (I believe I should have around ~50% group buffed).I will check out the link you provided and see what sort of choices I have there! Thanks!
