View Full Version : So Erudite or Dark Elf for my bruiser?

I know we get safe fall, but darn, that hover ability is just so nice. I found it to be one racial ability that you can not "live" without

So for my brusier that comes down to dark elf or erudite. Dark elves on AB seem very common, so was leaning towards Erudite..

What you all think? Any racial ability I am missing that would put one over the others?

I'd go DE for the Fury of Innoruuk, Innoruuk's gift, Fueled by Hate and the (albeit minor) higher starting agility. Just a tad more martial.

The the power boosting abilities, AoE magic spell and reduced Call spell cast times on the Erudite would be nice for reducing down time too, though. Depends on which will benefit you more.

Putting to one side that there is virtually no difference between races...Why considered response would have to be..Erudite Bruiser? *HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH AHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAaaaargh!*Sorry.... couldn't resist.Just the thought of that old-man frail body beating somebody up...(and I say this as an Erudite MAIN player myself!)

Euridite is the worst possible race for a bruiser, especially now, when they have made it so that race MATTERS TREMENDOUSLY.

Dark Elf is good for a bruiser who wants to max DPS. I woudln't advise DE though, because as a bruiser you have to be well rounded. I would suggest Human or Ogre as the 2 best Bruiser races.

Human's get +7 to crush, pierce, slash, ranged, defense, and Deflection. It's a very very nice bonus to avoidance, plus they get the +3% max Hit Points. Very well rounded, and has the highest avoidance possible through racial buffs.

Ogres are the supreme race. Aside of them being my ultimate god-race of choice, Ogres get the same +3% Max HP, and they get extra mitigation, which is extremely usefull to a bruiser, who needs every bit of mitigation he can get.

On a side note, I'd also suggest the possibility of Froglok. They have 3% max HP also, and a nice Blue AoE. That would give bruisers 4 blue aoe's which is just really really cool.

I'm actually playing a rantongan bruiser, racial traits are really not the best you can get but that's the price to pay to look so [Removed for Content] cool

Btw i've played my bruiser many times dual-boxing an Eurudite fury and erudian vision allows you to "see" mobs and players aura, so you know before you pull an encounter who's the priest, the mage etc... It's not a major information but it helps a lot killing encounters or nameds knowing before you pull what to expect from fight.

Regarding racial traits i'll go human or ogres for racial traits benefits.

Hogi Mata Leao - Renegade - Mistmoore

Well I went Erudite and having a blast.. I took the aoe encounter dd and will take the ward racial next. Plus I get the hover and aura vision.

Stat wise, he is equal already to other races with the ROK stuff and since I got lucky with one of those stupid card game decks, I got 7 plat to twink him with..

Plus I love being the only Erudite Bruiser on a busy server of AB
