I appologise for yet another AA post, but on a search most seem to be either raids or early solo. I mostly solo, though I do like to group when I can. I'm a 43 Fury with the Int and Engery lines finished (yay!) and would like some ideas as to where to head next.

I have read good things about animal form, if that is the way to go, whats the best way to get there? Can you cast in animal form or is it for use when you run low on power? Is it worth heading for rebirth or tortise shell yet or are they more endgame? (I hear its also not worth going for animal charm until I hit RoK)

Another small question, I keep reading about increased power use when energy vortex is triggered, I see nothing about this on the tooltip, is it a hidden cost?

Thanks for your time!

Animal form is an excellent choice for soloing, and to be honest, the only other choice you should aim for in the Fury tree. When you cast it it will stifle you so you cannot cast, but increases your haste and regens power to you for every melee attack that lands (so switch in a fast weapon when using it). You can also cast it on others (mages and priests only) but often they will have no clue what you are trying to do and will cuss you out for it You don't mention whether you are on a PvP server or not. If you are, then the Stamina line is pretty much a must have line. Stun immunity, serene symbol and serenity are awesome. Heal crits are okay, but not really essential for a druid. For PvE the line is mostly average, and a lot of points to spend just for heal crits.AGI line is a must have for raiding, simply for tortoise shell, and improved regens. Tshell gives AoE immunity for your group for 30 secs every 2 minutes. It stuns you but can be toggled off or on as you please. You probably won't need this until towards the cap, and offers you no advantage while soloing, or in the majority of group instances while levelling up. Wile regeneration increases the heal ont he first tick of your HoTs and reduces the time between ticks. I love this spell, but I know other druids are somewhat apathetic about it. The charm animal part of this line is useful for soloing, but uses 3 concentration slots, which means you have you have to cancel buffs to use it. It's a trade off. Some love it, some dont. I dont use it and only have it for the abilities at the end of the line.WIS line is pretty much junk whatever way you look at it. The end ability rebirth is nice in certain situations, but not worth the points you need to get it. STR line is alright, nothing special. Good for melee wardens, but not so much in there for a Fury. The free heal on melee attack is nice, but doesnt proc enough to make it worthwhile imo.Your question about Energy Vortex is simple. When you use it, it does the following:Increases spell damage by 40%Decreases heal strength by 50%Increases power cost of damage spells by 50% (might be 40% i'm not sure).

Check out this thread for my breakdown of EV. Also, the power usage isn't hidden. The spell descriptor says something like 'Increases spell damage and power cost by 40%'. I would head down the Animalism line next or even go back off the Strike of Thunder or whatever it's called in the Energy line and pick up the improved root and snare AAs. You're correct in assuming that the Agi/Sta lines are more for closer to endgame. Try to go down animalism and have the hibernate AA about the time you actually get the spell in your 50s, it's a very nice AA, almost like having an emergency heal on a 10 second timer.
