A handle which has a jagged dagger sticking out of one side - hrm, how is that supposed to work? Even if you're intended to punch with this daggered guard, the hooks would run the risk of catching on something, potentially disarming you.

<p>^^ Agreed, looks just like the hilt / guard without the blade yet attached.</p><p>Who knows, maybe the blade is barely visible.  A "ghostly" cutlass/rapier if you will.</p><p>Or it's a lightsaber :p</p>

I would have voted for a good auld 17th/18th century piratish sabre. With a slightly curved blade. In my opinion those ones fit best to a swashbuckler. Those ones that can't be crafted anymore <b>unfortunately</b>. Personally I don't like exaggerated weapons, may it be in size or "stuff" and much ornation on them. I like effects such as fire on a metal blade but I don't like "ghostly" weapons.

<p>I take it as a side view of the basket hilt on the left, and a direct top view (looking at the point of the blade down) on the right. </p><p> The hooks/spikes do look a little gnarly in terms of a basket hilt punch (as others have said, it would snag like the dickens). However, it is a cool concept...I would have just made razor-edged blades or curves on the hilt for a nice slashy punch <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Other than that, it looks very promising! I am a HUGE fan of basket hilted weapons over cup or sweapt hilt. Gives that rapier/saber crossover feel.</p><p>One thing I am curious about is how many if any older quests we may have to run through (speak like a dragon and Thulian language come to mind fromthe Qeynos Claymore/Swords of Destiny timelines respectively). Not a huge issue, but hopefully my questaholic status may pay off in this regard!.</p>

Not sure if anybody has said this yet but if you actually read the paragraph below it you would see it says ((Today we got our greedy little hands on the concept art behind another one, the Swashbuckler epic, a sword (rapier?) dubbed "Charm's Way.)) and its just the Hilt of the sword/ Rapier man calm down lol.

I finally manage to kill Jones with a guardian, a defiler, a templar, a coercer and a wiz and it was not easy with them.I think without an enchanter, this mob is nearly impossibleIf anyone know where to begin the raid quest

Hey Guy's,Any chance you could explain how you went bout it in the fight my best attempt has been with the following setup,Monk, 3 swashy, illy, mysticPvp server so we are class restricted no assasins or such with huge hits to help out...Basicly we setup at the door corner too the right where jones come in, illy on mez duty for parrot/adds aoe seems to be 23-25 secs timed that and basicly burned fast as we could....Rangestride ~Storm~

I am looking for the lady in the bar discuised as a patron. Says she is in QH 2nd floor of the bar by the dock but I cannot ever see her there even when I waypoint or on track. Is this incorrect?

Just helped with warlock last fight, god how unbeliveably easy was that and out in the open where you could potentially get help from outside the group,Still haven't managed to take down pirate, mind you having only good classes to choose from on pvp server makes things little harder, i'd rather spend 6 hours in seb farming warden update like last night than pirate jones..o well back to the drawling board to try again when i can manage to actually put a group togetherRangestride ~Storm~

I Killed this 4th pull with an SK, templar, warden, wizard, swash, swash. It helps a huge amount if you pull some of the adds with a blue AE as the 2nd boat approaches. Once Jones became active I AE blocked and then we timed subsequent AE blocks and death marches with the AE and just burned him down ignoring the bird and 2nd wave of adds.

i killed him with guardian, warden, illusionist, troubadour, swash, swash (pvp server). we mezzed/charmed the adds and did max damage to the main mob who has 402000 hp. we died in the end but got the update.
