How is a toon listed as "Anonymous" on the leader boards?

<p>I hadn't thought of it for pvp as you can just type /inspect_player playername and if they are in zone anywhere you get their full gear.</p><p>I know quite a few people who use it on non PVP to hide their wealth, note several in the top 100 richest who are anon. The poor poor dears are worried people will see they are super rich and won't cut them breaks when they ask to buy things cheaper. They have 3000 plat, why should they have to spend a copper more than the guy with 5 plat to his name. (can you tell this is a bitter subject for me? lol I'm not broke but I filthy rich hagglers disgust me, esp in a GAME).</p>

exactly.  It is ineffective at hiding character gear for PvP, and it is counterproductive to the guild roster tool for the rest of us.  It is very frustrating, as a guild leader, to have to figure out who each person is who is listed as anonymous on the website.  I might as well log into the game to perform any guild admin, and that defeats the purpose of EQ2Players for admin uses.  I have to admit that I'm not a huge proponent of this feature and wish that it was curtailed in it's use.  At the very least, I think it should be removed from affecting the guild roster.
