Well its that time again, time to beg that this insane aspect of the prismatic 2 questline gets removed. I have made a alt and am working my way through the epic questlines.I had a great time with the 1st prismatic, yes collecting the dragon language was annoying as before but it was doable. However I am now contemplating doing the godking quest line, the only thing stopping me is exactly what stopped me on all but one of my other toons, namely 'Eye farming'.Is there any chance that this will ever be removed from the game, I type this pleading with the developers to simply recognise this horrific part of the questline and to realise that NOBODY ever does prismatic 2 now because of this.I would love to see the stats on this quest if it is possible, see how many people complete the godking epic these days, or how many reach the eye farming stage and quit. It seems such a waste, the game has moved on from this horrible farming concept. Before anyone says anything about dumbing down the game, I did eye farming back in the day, it was a awful quest back that I believed should have been changed then and its twice as bad now. I dont agree with the 'I did it, so why shouldnt everyone else do it' people.
I dont say remove it i say simply make the eye a guaranteed drop with the required mobs/rings being on a set respawn timer thats sensible (e.g. 15 mins). If you can do all the eyes in one session it wont be bad at all its waiting for the ring events and constant clearing PH until they spawn that holds it up and makes people very bored.Ive done it on both my main characters and know how horrible eye farming was, id rather it was a nice one time outing for a guild/pickup than the horror it used to be.

Considering the number of changes they made to make DoF worth visiting (none) I'd say the answer is no.

They have made changes to DoF in the last 1-1.5 years. Supposedly a part of the peacock line was messed up and fixed.

I THINK that now the eyes only need be farmed one time and it does not eat the eyes when you zone in for the godking raid. I've never been the raid leader so I've never done that part.

As far as I know the eyes were always a guaranteed drop from the right mob? None of the names seem that rare now, if you goof up a timed event you have to wait for it again, and eye chests drop off grays too.

If your non alt is 80 you probably can solo nearly all of the mobs/ring events, if not bring 1-2 friends and it will probably be easy. At 70 they were easy with 3 people for the x2s and 16-8 ppl for the x4s.

I agree about removing the eye farming bs. That was never fun and made it impossible for MOST guilds to ever get in to see the godking raid. I think on my server only like 3-4 did it at level.

They need to fix this exactly the way they have fixed so many other quests like this (I'm looking at you Lord Ree and Emperor Fyst): Make the mobs that drop the eyes Heroic instead of Epic. That change alone would be enough-though more, like making the mobs static quest spawns instead of random pops, would be ideal.

Actually they did add something new : check SC near the sphynx for a new npc, some sort of djinn without anything linked to him as far as I know and I guess he's related to the epic weapons quests.

I'd love to see this changed. I've gone through eye farming twice now and I just can't face doing it again, even though I love the Peacock quest series (great experience and AA while levelling up). It would be great to be able to finish the quest line again, but there is just no way the guild is going to go back to farm those with all the new T8 content to do - if nothing else, I'd like to complete the vessel quest again on my current main raider...Ah well...
