Alright, I'm not 80/140 on my SK yet(actually I’m nowhere near it), but I figure I would get some feedback on the AA I'm looking at. I've tried Bruiser tanking, guard, and berserker and none of them seem to hold hate as well as I do on my SK, except the guardian which is just boring as hell. So anyway, I looked at the AA and I think I have a pretty decent setup for making an awesome SK tank.

So on the Shadowknight Achievements I maxed out: Enhance: Dark Caress (increase taunt amount by 25%) Enhance: Shriek of Terror II (reduce resistibility by 30%) Enhance: Diseased Cloud (reduce resistibility by 30%) Enhance: Rescue (Increase Hate positions by 3) Enhance: Destructive Slam (increase taunt amount by 20%)

And I’m working on maxing most of the Reaving line to get the Life tap effects on my spells, the increased heal amount on unholy blessing and then the 2% heal with each spell

I figure with 23 points in the Hate tree, 26 in Reaving that would leave me 21. Then with whatever I have left I figured I would max out the Graven Embrace, Draw Strength, Shriek of Terror I, and Siphon armament.

I’m pretty much set on keeping the Siphon hate and reaving, I just don’t know whether to put the rest enhancing the reuse of lifetaps or upgrading the other things.

And for the Crusader Achievements I was looking at doing

4-4-6-8-2 Strength (for the attack speed and hate gain)

4-4-8-8-2 Stamina (for melee crit and max health)

7-4-8 Intelligence (for the INT and the Spell crits)

If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it...

Take those points out of rescue, and put them into your taunt resistablities and shield smash. Playing other tanks (zerker and monk) I notice far more resists on my taunts then I ever get from the SK.

Some people will tell you to move the str points from the hate in to haste, so something like 4/8/8/0/2. Personally I find haste cheaper to get then a Ratonga [Removed for Content] working temple street docks, where as a flat % to your hate is harder to get. Be frugal with your aa's put them in things that you just can't get through gear (eg, don't waste it on stats).

Alright, i see how putting the 6 points in rescue is somewhat wasteful. As it is the entire hate line (minus death march) is upgraded to the max level, but with what i have now is it better to upgrade my reuse speeds or something else. Also is the additional unconscious health even worth it?Edited some typos

Also, based on a discussion of a similar post I made a while back - don't bother putting points into Siphon Armament. It's basically just forcing another tank to use Offering of Armament on you, no point to it as if you've got a guardian or berserker in the group... why aren't they tanking? And paladins have the spell as well as us.Under your Reaving line... you've mentioned you're planning on 26 points here... assuming that means all things maxed, but nothing in harm touch or mana sieve. Under the Hate line... there's 22 points worth spending here, basically everything but Rescue. So we're at 48 points at this point. That leaves us with 22 to spend in decay. So under your Decay line... spend in Decree, Graven Embrace, Doom Judgement, and Despoiling Mists... Draw Strength is possible too if you've got the points - based on when I was asking about it, seems to be a split decision on the worth of the points. Since you've got at least 20 spent here, get Pools of Blood as it's essentially a straight up health buff, and you can't go wrong with that.
