Something diffrent going on.

granted its still on test at the moment, but try looking in the jail in the militia house in west freeport. someone is missing. interestingly enough, last i saw her she was making a break to neriak from the direction of nektulos forest in darklight.  however that my highest character on test is only 20 made it hard to explore freely in nektulos as i couldent find anything in neriak or freeport or darklight about her escape. wonder if holding onto the dagger will finaly pay off.

I bet Cristanos got her out. because if they were on bad terms, she'd never make it through darklight past the guards. she'd be a wrench in the whole 'darklight pact' thing. provided the queen ever meant to keep that bargain in the first place.

Opal Darkbriar was in EQ1, a guildmaster in both the Dismal Rage (as a dark elf) and in the Academy of Arcane Science (as a human). the first rumors about her was that she was the one that performed the ritual to make Lucan a Lich...but since she's an enchantress apparently, that's probably not right. But she was I think the only dark elf guild leader in freeport, and one of 2 dark elves at all that we saw in EQ1 (provided she was the only DE guild leader) So most considered her Lucan's contact to Neriak (the only place nearby that had access to Necromancy that is used to Lich).In EQ2, she had become the Foci, guildmaster of the Academy of Arcane Science and no longer using her human guise. in the Sword of Destiny storyline/reveal of Neriak, we found out that she stole Soulfire from Lucan, and smuggled it to Faydwer, where I think it ended up in D'vinn's hands who turned it over to Mayong. Opal herself hid out in Neriak.the Darklight Pact between Lucan and Christanos basically turned Opal over to Lucan as a criminal. there's a conversation between a captain of a division of knights specializing in a training method she provided and her, where she claims that Freeport would suffer for her capture, she had friends in high places in Neriak...the captain tells her that Christanos turned her over, and that lucan was going to put her on trial. she tries to bribe him, because everyone knows lucan putting someone on trial is basically just a big show for an execution.Opal seems genuinely afraid of her circumstances...however on Test, they apparently find that Opal has escaped Freeport (kinda hard for her to do without use of her magic in that cell she's in) and making her way through Darklight Wood toward Neriak.

So wonder if they are going to tie this to the next big "epic" quest line aka Epics or if this will be something different? Seems that it has to be something big but what? Very interested to see where this leads!

Soooo, after the update for Erollissi day, went to DLW to farm zombies for love notes and guess who runs by me to Neriak? Yup, ms. Darkbriar herself.  She ran up behind me and then infront all the way to neriak.  I ran after her and hailed her and all she kept shouting at me was something to thge effect of "You can't stop me, no one can".  I would have ran inside and seen if she spawned after she ran to the entrance, but I'm not a freep, so the guards woulda killed me.
