Alrighty well I got the firewall tech at my work isp to allow EQ2, I can get as far as my char select screen but it gets hung up trying to log into the actual zone server.

The tech told me that he needs to IP or URL for venekor so that he can allow access to that server specifically, so how do I get that.

We have already gone through the whole firewall info provided in the knowledge base but it does not have the information I need

For a URL try this one venekor.everquest2.com, or perhaps this one sdkeq2-13-01.everquest2.com. If you try to ping the first one listed, the second one is what is actually pinged, so probably either one might work.

Opening a specific port for a zone is a temporary fix. The zone ports for all of the servers rotate frequently, so when a new patch is put in, you may not be able to access that zone again. The best fix is to open the entire port range. You can find the information you need at our knowledgebase:http://help.station.sony.com/cgi-bi...p?p_faqid=12293Best regards,Richard

Thank you for your reply Richard,

unfortuantely I have aready provided him with the information that is located in the knowledge base and was advised that the document is outdated and does not contain the range that will allow me access as he has already opened everything listed there.
