Whats the best stance / weapon choice for soloing in ROK?Stance:-Offensive-DefensiveWeapon:-2Hander-Sword n' ShieldI've been using Offensive/2hander, but noticed I lose a ton of avoidance in doing so, but don't have trouble keeping myself healed and alive during the fights, and can for the most part keep chain pulling. I'd imagine offensive and a 2Hander would be the best DPS choice of the available combinations.

I use offensive/sword and board.

Even in defensive your heals alone won't keep you up against mobs higher than you any longer than 30-40 seconds, so you need to be able to kill them in that time.

I used my Defensive stance and a 2hand sword for the first couple zones. By the time i got to the wastes i started using my sword and shield cause they hit alot harder there.

offensive with sword/board is where it's at, i went 2hander for awhile in jarsath, but the mobs in skyfire were a little to tough for that to work for long

Just out of interest, (and we all like hearing about our weapons and whatnot) what sword and board are people using in ROK.

Heh. Mine is very odd set-up..

I solo with defensive stance and 1h/shield especially with my AA battle leadership that adds nice bonus to my offensive skills. The defensive stance penalizes the offensive skills but AA easily put my offensive skills into positive gain overall by large margin so I was able to hit mobs easily in defensive stance while enjoying large defensive power behind it. I was even able to take on lvl 84 ^ named wyvern in Skyfire just fine in that set-up. I tried offensive and failed..

Key is if your INT is close to 400 or 500 in defensive stance then you are good to go.. I get huge resists out of defensive stance. I even could swim in lava rivers in skyfire (I have 9k heat resist at 70%) for long time with small damage hits or resists thanks to high wisdom from defensive stance..

Also, I am Cavalier which means I get joust and lance as CA's that are not affected by INT for damage. Also my trample is not affected by INT.. So Strength means more to me and it is unchanged for either stances at all so defensive stance serves cavalier/knight AA line pretty well.
