View Full Version : How far should I go into an AA tree before switching

From what I've read going into the AGI tree is the way to go at the start, at least until I get Walk the Plank.

But how far should I go before switching over to STR?

Should I max out Walk the Plank then switch, or stay in the AGI tree?

Also, I've only seen discussion on the Rogue AA Page, what about the other Tabs? Brigand/Race/etc...? Should I finish up the Rogue Tree with some of the recommended builds, or should I start looking at those other Tabs at some point?

Sorry if stupid questions, still in my first week of EQ2.

Thanks.

Stay in the agi tree and get Sailwind as soon as possible, its a must.

I would suggest you to first spend your points on the rogue tree. The subclass tree in most cases only increses your combat art dmg and or debuff components. Safehouse may be worth a look, but depends on your playstyle. other than that the subclass tree is just finetuning

Sailwind is also very useful for soloing. It's the difference between you using walk the plank and getting one attack off, or two attacks plus cheapshot.

I would personally suggest you go 46482 into the agility line first thing.

Once you get tenure and sailwind, with 6 points in walk the plank you can squeeze in up to 3 combat arts if there's no lag at all....to be safe I usually stick to 2 combat arts and cheapshot or 1 positional combat art followed by a stun combat art.
