I have a new level 16 warlock, and have been searching the world over for linked mobs. Many that I remembered from the "old" days are no longer linked. Would someone be willing to give me advice on where to find mobs that are most likely to feel the pain of my AE attacks.I am most interested in lower level kill spots. I am not looking for maximum or quick leveling, heck, I stayed level 4 until I was a Slayer of Aviaks.Dottie

there are a few linked gnolls in the qeynos caves, and the highway men have some, dont really remember there being many linked encounters though

Once you get high enough to go to Enchanted Lands, there are a bunch of linked encounters with the fairies just past chomper's lake. And a little higher than that and you can go to Runnyeye. Tons of linked encounters in there, but it is heroic. I don't remember tons of linked encounters again after that until Sinking Sands in the 50s in the caves under the Eye of Anuk. Then again, my memory may be a little blurry on that.

Linked mobs... I am going to try and list groups of 3 or more mobs only. Dont remember if they are Heroic or not but in Thundering Steps there should be the Deer, beetles and Giants (almost sure the Giants are Herioc), there are also groups of Sirens in the water. Hmm think there are some packs of Bears/Wolves over near the tower by Ruins of Varsoon. Think there are a few linked groups in RoV if I remember correctly (some attached to named like Weavemaster and Book of Life and Death). Other then the ones already mentioned there are groups of Lizard men, spiders and bugs and various "Fear worshiping" type mobes in Feerrott. Wolves, water elementals, Huuptics, Goblins and Minotaurs in Everfrost. Where else, in Sinking Sands there are also groups of beetles (though these are all vv or vvv mobs - I farm these for Nil Crystals). Think there are groups of Lizard men, Undead, Snakes, Scorpians, Fish, Orcs, Madmen and some pirates. Then in Pillars of Flame there are Monks, Goblins Harpies and more fish. If I took more time I am sure I can think of some other places but its getting close to "Go home O'Clock" and my mind is shutting down already.

One of SoEs many "improvements" was to spoil (IMHO) Antonica and the Commonlands (CL) by removing most grouped encounters. At level 16 you will struggle to find any that suit you at level 16 in Antonica. In CL there are a few groups of linked orcs that are part if the Return of the Light heritage quest and the old Bloodskull Valley access quests. Quickest/safest rout to CL for you would be to use the spire near Windstalker Village to zone up to KoS and then zone down to CL.The only other place I can think of would be in Black Barrow for Antonica-ish locations (the miners and the fishers), and maybe down in the Qeynos sewers (Vermin Snye area, but not sure of the level required or how heroic they are down there).Hmm, re-read your opening post "slayer of aviaks" means you're a Sarnak I guess or at least in TD. None of the starter zones have much in the way of grouped encounters now I'm afraid, which kid of sucks for baby 'locks. If you are desperate for some grouped combat at your current level then I'd suggest heading to CL - Get down to the bottom level of Gorowyn, head to the docks, take the griffon to Butcherblock Mountains (BBM). From BBM head along the beach to the dock area and take the boat on the second jetty to Nektulos Forest. From Nek (oh, careful coming off the dock as there are 2 or 3 nasty crabs) you'll need to follow the path that leads from the beach - this will be a bit windy but is safest - it'll lead to a bridge, from the bridge head right. Eventually you should end up at the CL gates. Zone in and head along to the right (probably best to go invisible if you can) for a fair way - you'll be in the right sort of area when you see orcs with elephants. On the following map you can see red dots that are Captains or Commanders - these are the groups.http://maps.eq2interface.com/map.php?zone_id=24
