Hey everyone, I have a 26 Templar here. So far I've enjoyed the class, but since my first character is a 60 Warden, I can definitely notice some differences between the two classes. Anyway, I'm looking to AA spec my character to be a team player, a group healer, and (ultimately) a good raid healer. But making this choice is tough. As a Warden my choices were much more clear cut and I loved them. But for Templars, 4 out of the 5 KoS AA trees are useful in one way other another in terms of team play. Let's review: STR: As I read in another thread, the moves here aren't helpful for the team, but the ultimate move after spending 24 points grants very good interrupt and stifle immunity. Templar plate armor + long casting times for heals--which I definitely notice since I played a Warden--potentially means lots of interrupts in some situations. But with the ultimate move in the STR tree, all the Templar has to do is not move and cast freely. AGI: As far as I've read, this is the big raiding tree. With the Shield Ally ability used on the main tank, the caster's avoidance stuff (like parry and block) help supplement the main tank's defense. People show evidence of the great benefits of this with some ACT report program thingie. Also, the ultimate move in this tree shields much of the party from any AOE attack for something like 30 seconds. STA: This tree is appealing for team play because of the heal criticals. WIS: This tree is terrible except for the title of "Exorcist." INT: This tree is important for team play because of faster casting speeds. With the right move at rank 8, it raises casting speed by 14.5% or something. Some of the above info. could be wrong, but I decided to post it for any new Templars looking over the forums. Anyway, here's my deal. I've put 4/4/4/8 into the INT tree so far, to boost my casting speed. My deal is, do I go for the AGI tree now? I'm hesitant because many of the people in the forums talking about the AGI tree seem to be uber geared-out elite players who are level 80 billion, people who really need to care about the numbers. Right now I'm just a casual player doing grouping, not level 60+ raiding. Now the AGI tree is really cool, there's probably no doubt about that, but when I read stuff about "T7 rainbow shields" and "bracers that add to parry," things which my character can't get for a long time, it makes the AGI tree not seem so good at the moment. Sorry for the lots of words. So to ask you guys your opinions, should I go INT -> STA -> AGI, or INT -> AGI -> STA or should I skip the AGI tree and try the STR tree? For a final question, everyone starts out with a 50 point limit for each of their two AA trees. Apparently 20 points gets added with RoK. When does this happen, or what quest must be done for the 20 points to be added? Just curious. Any info. would be helpful. Again, sorry for the lots o' words.
