Ok... so, i have started a Necro and i have been really enjoying the class... I have read the posts on the AA solo line and there is alot of opinion on the issue... i dont have all kinds of time to do all the research and keep up on the latest info due to life constraints so i am looking for some help...

I am a solo player that picks up the occasional grp with guildies when i can and of course i would like to go get the heroics if possible (who dont)... and i am really wondering what the best AA line set up would be for soloing and taking on the biggest mobs you can ( the short verison ). i currently am at level 31 with 20 AA ( but im looking for the long term spec.. so i know where to put points as i get them ). and i have heard and read different opininons on puting first points you get into STA line then to Wis line... BUT, as i look at the necro line i see the spell (at work) that allows you to summon extra pets... wouldnt that be a good way to go? more pets to hold and do dmg to mob? or are the extra pets pretty weak vs. beefing up the one pet? so, what really is the best way for me to progress along the AA line??

also, when you respec... can you change your char. traits... i picked this one that teleports you to a random location and lowers argo... ( that was a waste ) ... if they can be respec'ed as well any reccomandations on which ones are worth while, along with the master picks..???

final question... whats the deal with the diety favors... i have done the first quest and have enough favor points.. but, i cant seem to access the abilities... any simple reason im over looking???

sorry this is so long... and i know i am obviously killing the same ol topic... and advise would be greatly appreciated...

Thank you

Well I only play a necro as an alt but am able to solo effectively i think... able to solo the nest, SoS, PoA at 70 etc

For soloing:

KOS aa:

STA (preceptor's command maxed for sure) and WIZ

EOF aa:

Tainted Heals, Tank pet, and rotting line probably

(rotting with help you in groups and if you have max points in preceptor's command you don't have to worry much about over dps'ing with it when your solo'ing)

tainted heals is definately the way to go for soloing over the rest of the pets line. (for every manipulation spell you cast your pet heals for 18% ... therefore you can just spam your wiz debuff over and over and basically keep your pet up through anything).

Got my aa mirror the other day and LOVE it. I now dont' have to worry about respecing charges! woot

For tough heroics that you can't pet tank the ol' root/ nuke technique works okay (as long as they aren't casters). Unfortunately fear/kiting doesn't work in eq2 (oh how I loved that in eq1).

Hard to answer your racial traits question since you didn't specify what race you were

not sure what the problem is you're having with the deity miracles and blessing... you have to buy one at your alter then it will appear in your knowledge book under "abilites" ... which you can drag into your hotbar to use. They only come with 2 charges then you have to refresh them at your alter. Also as you complete the rest of the diety quest line more abilities open up (you will be able to see them in your alter but not be able to buy them if you haven't done that tier quest step yet). Hope that helps a little.

Enoa - Templar - Kithicor

Balorn - Necro - Kithicor

The deagro racial is in no way badSometimes you will find your tank not taunting, or not enough to keep agro atleast. the mob will start pounding you. since i personally enjoy soloing heroics they will beat me up good. i have 3 choices... 1 wait and see if the pet taunts in time... 2 try and kill the mob fast enough ? ..no really.. rooting :p... or well you could offcourse feign death too... But the deagro will most likely put you behind your pet in the list and you can just wait and let the pet build some agro.I have a arasai and their racials arent that great anyway ... but they do ok i guess. I believe i picked a spell crit one, the deagro, float and.. something else :pTainted heals are sweet, i would say.. get that first. I did that first, then went for lifeburn. Now im stuck myself as im not sure i wanna burn more AA on solo tankage or if i should focus more on pure dps from this point, but tainted heals and the road to + lifeburn do help out a ton

It's like a mini-rescue for your pet.
