Hiya!I haven't posted much, I am mostly a forum lurker and like to absorb any information I find on tips for my class. But with the new tier I could use some clarification as I have heard conflciting views. I am a bit concerned my damage output may be a bit low at level 80. I group quite a bit and occasionaly raid so I have set up my AA's as the following. I only have 130 AA's at the moment, but feel I could be putting the extra ones I don't know where to put, elsewhere. This is mostly from what I've picked up on forums.<b>Summoner.</b>Strength - 4, 4, 6, 8, 1.Wisdom - 4, 4, 4, 8.Intelligence - 5, 4, 6, 8, 1<b>Necromancer.</b>Gravecalling. - Enchance, Warrior Pet 5. Mage Pet 5. Summoning 5. Undead Horde 2. Ooze Crawler 1.Pacts. - Enchance, Necrotic Reconstruction 4. Darkness Heart 5. Filter Life 3. Revivication 5.Rotting. - Enhance, Soulrot 5. Deathly Coil 5. Pandemic 5. Devour Vigor 5. Lifeburn 1.As for my spell lineup, I try a combination of starting with Dumbfire, Deathly Coil, Drain Life, Soulrot, Pandemic, Vampire Bats, Soulrot, Drain Life.Do you think there is anything I am doing wrong, or could improve? I run a parse all the time to tweak and change things about for a difference. I have been told that in T8 the Scout pet may be the most efficent. But lastly, while I am trying to aim to keep my spell damage and spell crits high, while nabbing proc items. I have also heard the Impaler Staff may not be the best choice? While I am limited on raids (work can keep me away from them, so I group a lot), I am unsure what else would be good for the Primary, Secondary and Ranged slots. (Currently use Impaler Staff and Preator Guard).Thank you for reading, please be nice! I am an underfed Necromancer.

Hi Serica,I will just post my T8 experiences so far. Remark: I only have experience with T1/T2 raiding in RoK and I play in a FP only raid guild which means less buffs.PetSo far the scout pet is the best pet for dps concerning group and raid content imo. Most of the time you fight solo or non encounter mobs. I heard it might be different for T3/T4 Rok raid content due to resists but have no personal experience about that. Anyway the gap between scout and mage pet is not that huge.AA'sYour AA look fine. Just like mine but I picked AGI of course (see scout pet above). But you should definately add BloodPact to it if you want to do any T8 raiding.Items:Try to get as many items with +spell dmg/crit as possible. +spell dmg gives diminishing returns starting at 500-600, so after that focus more on +crit. I use the Impaler Staff myself. In the past I always used 1-hand staffs but I am not very lucky atm finding a good 1-hand staff and secondary item so I stay with impaler staff for the moment.Spell line up:Yours looks good. Only thing to argue about is the dumbfire at the beginning. I use them less and less. They don't profit from +spell dmg and crit afaik and fall behind those other spells. For group content they are obsolete because fights don't last that long. On raids I throw them in if nothing else is up.Dps in groups:Don't try to compete with predators rogues or even bruisers on heroic trash mobs. Their CA's are fast and their cool down is short. Their auto attack is insane. Usually those will do more dps than you zone wide if they are worth anything. With lifeburn and undead tide you can compete with their dps on longer fights (nameds).Dps in raids:Since T7 I lost about 2 positions in the zone wide parse. Assassins are our top dps machines now. But geneally fights last longer and if you are in a mage group and you manage to keep your pet alive (bloodpact, timing ae's) you can still do some reasonable dps.Just my experiences in T8 so far.

<p>AA's : summoner : strength 4/4/4/8, stamina 8, wisdom 4/4/4/5, intelligence 6/4/4/8/1</p><p>more crits, more hp, beefy mage pet, you do not want to increase minion's warding and cancel it when you see it on yourself...you want the mage pet to live longer, beef up your own stats and take the hits like a champ.</p><p>necromancer: lose the worthless ooze crawler and pump points to get blood pact, many will say " oh the ooze crawler is awesome for our raid guild"...it's crap, you want to be a support class roll a bard, want to be a debuff class roll a swash or brigand, you're a necro DPS like you were designed to.</p><p>Gear wise: Impaler staff + Praetor's guard isn't too horrible if that's all you can muster, I can't see your full gear choices so can't help too much (unblock ur profile <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />)</p><p>Spells: use dumbfires and swarms as much as possible, the ZW dps still adds up quite a bit, the scout pet has been shown to do well in the lower tiers of RoK raiding, but once you're in the upper tiers...warlock pet all the way, personally I use the warlock full time</p>

Thank you for the replies (I will unblock my profile of course!)I have had thoughts of dumping the Ooze Crawler for some time, since I use it very rarely. I had the good fortune of acquiring my Master 1 Mage in T7, so it may be why I am seeing a DPS decrease on the T8 version. I understand that it isn't scaling very well?I intend to play around with my AA's a bit more on Scouts and Mages.Does anyone else have any thoughts?
