zerker vs warlock question

<p>i have a zerker that recently turned lvl 22.. i have all MC armor and weapons..( lol only took me 2 day to harvest 8 steel clusters and a fir and a few loams, and had a guildy make the stuff...=) ) i have adept 3's and a few masters. </p><p>lastnight i saw a lvl 29 warlock.. i did the math and saw he was 7 lvls over me.. not too bad ., i was in a 4 lvl zone so it was my choice.,  i decided to attack em, i figured i should be able to kill em with a few well placed interupts / knock backs or at least have fun trying.. but when i attacked i did very little dammage with the attacks that landed, he advoided about 1/2 of my attacks, but the ones that did make contact did little dammage.. even a few that critted only hit for a max of 65 dammage and that was the low end of the attack dammage scale. he didnt use manashield. so why did my attacks do less than the dammage scale in dammage to him? ( dammage scale = one attack says 65 - 150 dammage for an attack, not all like this , this is an example) the biggest dammage i did was the 65 crit, al lthe others were around 30's.</p><p>how does a cloth wearing caster manage this?  the advoidance is the ability to advoide the attack . not dammage, mitigation governs the dammage recieved and cloth should not be stronger than plate.. </p>

You were facing a super-twink.  Plus the warlock could of put a few aa into the sta line ability which increases mitigation.

PVP damage is scaled down. Make sure you click the pvp tab to see the actual pvp damage on your abilities.

I've seen plenty of well geared warlocks with 40% or more mitigation(Due to AAs). As you've said he was seven levels higher than you, so his numbers(against your level) might read 50% or more. Also, I believe warlocks can add a regenerating ward to their magi's shielding. That could have been absorbing alot of your damage.

HEY!!!!  This might have been me!  Was it a Froglok warlock on the TS griffon station in ANT on the Venekor server?  If so I'm pretty sure it was me you were fighting.  I was standing there waiting to see if the lvl 25 assasssin and 28 deflier were still around because I wanted to give them a go.  You were standing behind me for awhile and suddenly starting attacking me.  I'll be honest, I was surprised at how little dmg you did to me considering we were in the same tier armor.  In response to the first response, no I am not a "super twink"  I'm in MC armor and have adept III's.  I did go down my STA line which gives me a bit more health but also a higher mit. versus physical attacks so that might help as well.
