Swash pvp

So ive been seeing some pvp videos of swash pvp and i have to say it seems like they range more then they melee i know im only lvl 19 atm but i dont understand why they do that i only have 1 range skill atm and yes it owns <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> anyways is it always like that at higher lvls? if i wanted that i would have rolled a ranger

Yes reach coupled with decent CA damage, and high auto attack damage, makes the swash one of the best, if not the best pvp class, at least against meleers. If your opponent does not manage to close the gap you can own anybody. This is somewhat needed due to other good melee dps classes (zerkers, brawlers, brigs, assies), having insane DPS bursts end game coupled with more control capabilities. Against healers, we have all the tools to outdps them easily (mitigation debuffs, taunt that interrupts and dispells buffs, interrupt procs from the auto attack, debuffs that slow down their casting speed, mez....). Sorcerers can be tough opponents end game, especially if you try to burn through the manashield, but once again we have all the tools to shutdown them.

what would be the ideal setup for lvling/pvp on my way to get reach asap? without gimping myself with AA lvl 19 with 16 AA i think im currently going down the agi line any tips welcome i have looked at other posts on this and they all just tell me whats better for raiding,....i dont raid
