Snuffing the Fireknight - CoF

Hello all,I have been grinding ravagers and savagers in Mistmore Catacombs for days now looking for page 8.My question is, will this page drop off of grey mobs or do i have to mentor down to get them to con green or blue for it to drop?

Have only seen the catacombs pages drop in small chests, so pretty sure they have to be at least green.  On the plus side, there's a level 72 mastercrafted cloak that gives more haste than CoF, so if you just want it for the haste get one of those made

Ive received page drops off of grey mobs - from small chests. (these were in LFay - Brownies IIRC)  I doubt that the mechanic would be coded differently for each zone.

Yes, quest items will drop off grey mobs even if they're chest loot.  I don't remember which patch it was, but it was definitely changed to be that way many months ago.  Just a run of bad luck for the OP.  And no need to limit your killing to anything specific; all pages can drop from anything in their designated zone.  <a href="http://eq2llinks.com/item.php?id=-1409270317" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://eq2llinks.com/item.php?id=-1409270317</a>

<p>Hello Original Poster,</p><p> I hope that you have gotten your page!  I myself spent over 25 hours total grinding various mobs in the Catacombs to get my two pages on my Conjy. And I have spent nearly 20 on my Fury with no luck yet... Still trying for the last page.  I can tell you however that I have killed (on my Fury) over 250 ^^^'s in the zone, both gray and colored and have only seen three pages drop.  One that I scribed, plus a duplicate. And the other night Page 9 dropped off Seneschal and there was a guy in my group that had LD'd way back in the zone, he ended up rejoining group just as the named died, and of course, looted the page I needed even though we all believed he wasn't coming back and never participated in the fight.</p><p>I had about the same luck in New Tunaria, killed for almost a week straight before someone else in the zone happened to drop both pages in one chest off a grayed out Tunarian.  They were kind enough to /shout in zone if anyone needed and that's how I got my page.</p><p> I'm beginning to think that my account is flagged to have a 99.99% lower drop rate on the CoF pages.  My conjuror still hasn't even been able to get Page 3 from LFay, even though she's spent probably over a week straight total in the zone mass slaughtering.</p><p>The weird thing is that my boyfriend got both his Catacomb pages almost instantly, it only took him about 2 hours total in the zone.  He had more trouble in New Tunaria, but not nearly as much as I have had on both of my characters.</p><p>I have never seen such a truly frustrating quest.  It seems ridiculous that I've even bothered with the pages at this point, but I guess I'm just so mad that I can't stop trying.  I would love to see SOE make this quest a tad bit more accessible, as really... the cloak doesn't have that great of stats for most classes anyways.  It's more of an appearance item in my opinion.  However, since it IS a Heritage Quest, it shouldn't be nearly this difficult to obtain.</p>

Tbh, I haven't had too many issues with any pages, except for a few hours in Tunaria, until I got to page 8. I've had three 9's, 2 of which got wasted since no one else wanted them either.
